Another one that is unlikely….but i love the lyrics.
Ataris – So Long, Astoria Lyrics
It was the first snow of the season
i can almost see you breathin
in the middle of that empty streetSometimes i still see myself
in that lonesome bedroom
playin my guitar
and singing songs of hope
for a better futurelife is
only
as good as the memories we make
and i’m taking back what belongs to mepolaroids of classrooms unattended
these relics of remembrance
are just like shipwrecks
only theyre gone faster
than the smell after it rainslast night while everyone was sleepin
i tripped through my old neighborhood
and resurrected memories from asheswe said that we would never fit in
we were really just like them
does rebellion ever make a differencelife is
only
as good as the memories we make
and im taking back what belongs to me
these relics of remembrence
are just like shipwrecks
only theyre gone faster
than the smell after it rainsSo long astoria
i found a map to buried treasure
and even if we come home empty handed
well still have our stories
of battle scars, pirate ships and wounded hearts,
broken bones, and all the best of friendshipsand when this hourglass
has filtered out
its final grain of sand
i raise my glass to the memories we had
this is my wish
this is my wish
im takin back
im takin them all back3 March, 2008 at 7:34 pm #139525I love the piano in this one.
“Littlest Things” Lily Allen
Sometimes I find myself sittin’ back and reminiscing
Especially when I have to watch other people kissin’
And I remember when you started callin’ me your miss’s
All the play fightin’, all the flirtatious disses
I’d tell you sad stories about my childhood
I don’t why I trusted you but I knew that I could
We’d spend the whole weekend lying in our own dirt
I was just so happy in your boxers and your t-shirt[Chorus]
Dreams, Dreams
Of when we had just started things
Dreams of you and me
It seems, It seems
That I can’t shake those memories
I wonder if you have the same dreams too.The littlest things that take me there
I know it sounds lame but its so true
I know its not right, but it seems unfair
That the things are reminding me of you
Sometimes I wish we could just pretend
Even if only for one weekend
So come on, Tell me
Is this the end?Drinkin’ tea in bed
Watching DVD’s
When I discovered all your dirty grotty magazines
You take me out shopping and all we’d buy is trainers
As if we ever needed anything to entertain us
the first time that you introduced me to your friends
and you could tell I was nervous, so you held my hand
when I was feeling down, you made that face you do
There’s no one in the world that could replace you[Chorus]
Dreams, Dreams
Of when we had just started things
Dreams of me and you
It seems, It seems
That I can’t shake those memories
I wonder if you feel the same way tooThe littlest things that take me there
I know it sounds lame but its so true
I know its not right, but it seems unfair
That the things reminding me of you
Sometimes I wish we could just pretend
Even if only for one weekend
So come on, Tell me
Is this the end?was going to put the link to youtube up, but the bass is rubbish, so it just sounds tinny

parents who give teens free reign in the house wile they go away deserve all they get. my two are 22 and 18 and i wont even leave them at home alone. if we want a weekend away i get a friend to house sit so they dont go wild and destroy my home. stupid people have stupid kids and these two vere very stupid.
I trust my daughter.. you obviously don’t trust your children. Trust and respect are two things my daughter understands. She would never destroy my home, or have friends who would want to destroy it either. My daughter is not stupid.
Stupidity begins at home.

2 March, 2008 at 5:27 pm #315387“I have been places many of you have also been. But I have been further. Dark, desperate places that you will have only read about in tabloids or seen on crime dramas. I have also flown to places you cannot even imagine: I have watched the northern lights, dined with lords, swam with dolphins, drunk with legends. I am in the top 1% of the country in terms of ability, in the bottom 1% of the country in terms of degeneration. I know what I am talking about. What I do not know, and could never know, is how deep your own demons can take you. But I know this. They will take you much further into the depths if you let them. And this is they’re playground. “
Wonderful stuff….I hope you continue to get published.
Bye feb

In fact I agree with you on two things. Poetry is for airheads.
Hmmm…. now this is confusing, exactly which definition of airhead do you mean?
a) Airhead – An area of hostile or enemy-controlled territory secured by paratroops or air-assault forces (with or without a Prince of England)
b) Airhead – A silly, rather unintelligent person.
c) Airhead – refers to the air-cooled engines of early BMW motorcycles
I am going to go for (a), it can’t possibly be either of the other two meanings!

And sad too :(
