Flirting is obligatory. I love a good flirt. But, some people can’t tell the difference between flirting and coming on strong. If the person you are flirting with thinks you are more serious than you actually are, then that may cause problems. Boundaries really is the key, but not everyone’s boundaries are the same.
I am torn on this one. I don’t like the fact that local government takes the first excuse it can find to put the thumb screws on our public services. On this occasion, the country is in so bad a state and we all have to “tighten our belts” and poor firemen are going to have to do the same.
WRONG
This country is coming out of recession nicely, and we are being fed the worst possible scenario in order for the government to put in place new rules and guidelines to keep the proles subdued. Well, I suspect the firebrigade may just be a test case. Which is why I am torn, because actually, I don’t agree with firemen striking, particularly on 5th November, that’s just plain dangerous!
I don’t think they innoculate all people in areas where there is low prevalence. Not sure why. Some ethnic groups are more likely to catch it so they target specific groups of people. There are some strains about that are resistent to treatment, but they are working on vaccines for these straiins and some vaccines are in trials right now. I think it only works on children though, vaccination i mean. Not sure if it would work on adults.
They reckon 80% of people in parts of Africa have TB and its similar in India They reckon a third of the world’s population has it. Thats pretty bad. I don’t know why they would stop vaccinating children here, that sounds like a recipe for disaster.
those ISA’s indeed, what they don’t tell people is that if they don’t move them every year, their interest drops to nearly zero. Yeah… save tax everyone, on nothing while they use YOUR money and place it in high interest accounts overseas somewhere and make loads of interest on it…………..
OR
lose it in a HUGE black hole called………………….bankers bonuses!
I use the name mimsey in the rooms, minim on the boards.. was Bob for a while and still use that name on occasions. I don’t get many pc’s with the name Bob, so that works a treat in the rooms. I also created other names for fun on various boards, so some people know me as whimsical too.
What’s in a name? who knows. I do know that once i get to know someone, it doesn’t matter what name they use. That goes in real life too, one of my work mates just changed their name by deed poll but i shall carry on calling her Strumpet, and my nephew uses his first name now, but all the family call him by his middle name. My dad always calls me Charlie! A group of workmates a while ago abbreviated my real name until it was practically unrecognisable and I am still in contact with a few, and they STILL call me by that name!
I also make up names for people and call them by that name! It’s fun, and so far I haven’t fallen foul of someone without a sense of humour, although one boss would have sacked me if he had known i always referred to him as Mr Ploppy Pants! Thank God, I never called him that to his face eeeeek
I think I would swap places with someone in a lot of physical pain, to give them some respite from it. I luckily am not in constant pain, although I think some people think I am one :D
