Difference is, I don’t think my dad would be too fussed if he had to work christmas day and can’t say I would either. Not as if we do the big family thing but we make the effort for my mum cos she loves christmas – gutted for her that she’s got to work and won’t even get home cos she doesn’t work in the town.

Well, if you don’t want to know don’t ask. Doesn’t take much intelligence to figure that one out.
I don’t even know where you come from? No, but I do know it’s somewhere in the North West (that was a bit of a give away) Or anything about you? Other than the fact that you can’t take a joke and are a tad on the defensive side (being polite) you’re right – I don’t.

That’s the thing though isn’t it. I did want to know, I just didn’t understand the explanation or ‘lack’ of explanation you give. Instead of using simplicity you dressed all your words up that much that you sounded like Tony Blair in his election speech – in other words you went completely of the subject.
And yes ‘tosser’ is the best one I could come up with. I am not used to swearing on message boards, I usually have more patience. If you was making a joke then that was fine, but you didnt give any indication of joking – no smilies, no nothing and the way you worded it sounded rather harsh.

Just to give you some advance warning…
My dad is the same he is working all through out christmas. He will be eating his christmas dinner at work already pre-made for him. All he will have to do is stick it in the microwave. He complains every year that he would rather be at home, but he misses the money if he dosent go.
