I remember during my last pregnancy I suffered from depression, which also continued after he was born. I really feel sorry for both parents, but a single mother on benefits living in a housing association property would have come close to losing her other kids.

What’s worse for the McCann’s is that they know they did the wrong thing and they can’t just forget their mistake or put it right. They will always suffer for what they did. And for that, on top of losing their daughter, I do feel genuinely sory for them.

Seriously though, despite the practical approach of my previous post, I am a romantic at heart. From that point of view I’ve got to agree with Gaz about the ideal being in a really good relationship with a partner.

Life aint like that for everyone sadly and some people will feel the need to go to protitutes/sex workers etc. Not my choice or something I wish for my family, but so long as someone will pay, others will do it. Some people also genuinely enjoy doing it as a job. So if we can’t get away from it, I would just prefer to:
– support the vulnerable so they never have to feel forced into it; and
– make sure we are only turning people who kidnap, enslave or extort into criminals, rather than people quietly getting on with their business.

There are worse things in the world. Live and let live. “Let he who is without guilt” and all that………..
