IT was among the broken bottles and cans
thats where i found my first true love
she was rooting about in a bin
looking as picturesque as the sky above
i said “hey what you looking for”
she replied”well im going out tonight.
and im looking for some decent clothes
cos i dont want to go out in any old shyte
i told her that id found a size ten dress
she looked at me with glee
but i said you can only have it on one condition
and thats tonight you come out with me
    she looked at me dubiously
and said i dunno,i have got me pride
i tell yer wot mate let me go home, try on the dress
maybe that will help me decide
well seeing id already fallen in love with her
i asked her to meet me outside the flats
    when she said yes
i was so happy i went down to the river to shoot me some rats

    part 2
when i met her later that night
she was lookin ever so elegant wearing her dress
that i had found it that morning nobody would ever guess
well we were going out steady now
and we used to root in the skips together
but then one day we had a row over some lead
she said i dont want too see you again ever!
i was broken hearted as i carried my scrap home that night
that girl to me was everything
if i didnt get her back, life simply wouldnt be worth living
summer was drifting slowly into autumn
i spotted her lookking for mushrooms in the park
i pleaded with her to go back with me
she said oh i dunno let me think oh ok then mark
well we been married 3 years now
and on our anniversary we visit different tips
and we take our little son along,to let him root round in the skips
and as me and the wife hold hands in the beatwaste together
what i really hope my son will find
that one day when he is older
he will find a beautiful tip girl like i found mine.

never been down the local tip cosy to find things…. I do remember your poem though … would be nice to see it again … yes put it in arts :D

I have had a few finds with houses we have been involved with though… one was a big old 1920s semi with massive cellars. The cellars were full of junk….and little creatures  Anyway in one corner under a pile of rags I found an old Mahogany box inlaid with what I found out later was ivory… dating back to the early 1800s. :D

I put this search into Google – not the crap search tool in here:

Morrisons do a munch creamy veg pie. Delicious!

My daughter is veggie Panda… my sister is vegan…. very difficult to cater for, I dread her coming for a meal :?

Well, the creamy veg pies, cooked properly so you get a nice crust (oo er!) will be delicious.

Also the Linda McCartney range do Mozzerella burgers – they are yummy. Mr Panda is under instructions to gather some more tomorrow.

Generally, any meat dish has a veg alternative – just use a range of mixed veg or Quorn mince instead of the meat.

My daughter came home from school aged about eight … her and a group of her friends decided they were veggie… all the mums decided to go with it…. one by one her friends each went back to eating meat…. my daughter however never did :D I use Quorn a lot :D
