I agree Jen…. so sad. I was told about the new cancer drug about to be trialed in Yorkshire… its a derivative of crocus bulbs and initial trials have been hopeful… its different to other cancer treatments as it inhibits the flow of blood to the cancer and as its the blood that spreads the cancer… thats new in treatment terms… the good thing about it is it will be able to treat all cancers.. thats new too…. I feel quite knowledgeable as I went to a cancer research luncheon yesterday.. sorry to seem like a know it all :?

Actually both my kids used to be keen swimmers and swam at competition level. They trained at least 5 times a week at the Olympic Pool in Leeds (its since been demolished as it was old). Ruby…. they were always getting ear infections… the doc said that there is all sorts of bacteria at pools… because my kids were there often they picked all sorts up. They only stopped swimming because of school commitments and exams… have to admit I was relieved when they did!
