Here’s one story I will share.
A few years ago a friend was driving a minibus with a large number of passengers – I think he said there were 16 people altogether – when they were involved in a horrific multi-car pile-up. Everything seemed to slow down, as it often appears to when you have an accident, and he braced himself for the crash. The next thing he knew he was sitting on the grass bank on the side of the road looking down at the crash. The minibus was surrounded on all sides by vehicles and was the most badly damaged vehicle and he watched as the emergency services arrived and started freeing people trapped in their cars. When they got to the minibus they could see he was very badly hurt (the physical body that is); they weren’t even sure if he was alive but until the vehicle recovery people arrived to clear the scene they could only get into the minibus from the back and all the other passengers had to be cut free first. He stood there watching them cut his passengers out, heard what was being said, accompanied each of his passengers to the ambulance before returning to watch the next one being cut out. It took them 5 hours in total to reach him, by which time he was pronounced dead. He said he stood next to a paramedic saying to him “but I’m not dead, I’m still here” over and over and watched as the paramedic looked confused then asked his superior if he minded him taking another look. This paramedic found a very very faint pulse and so they started work on him.
He told people afterwards about what he observed, what he heard, and they were all dumbfounded as, even if he had been conscious, there is no way he could have physically seen the rescue operation in as much detail as he did.
He said “I know people say things like make your way to the light, but I didn’t feel like that was for me, I felt I had to stay with my passengers and my body and everything would be ok.”
It took 2 years of major operations and therapy for him to recover, he is a logical, rational man with an engineering background and not given to flights of fancy, but he accepts what happened and that he will never be able to explain it.
Hard to explain… impossible actually. makes you think doesnt it.

Now with the kind of shop that I have, and some of the things that I do, you might be able to guess my answer to this one
There are far too many experiences that I have had personally and that customers have shared with me to detail here, very profound, very deep and very moving, and some of them are so personal that I wouldn’t put them here anyway.
Nuff said
P.S. was the film any good?
I thought you had a gift shop Jen, is it crystals and stuff?… anyway the film, well its on sky box office right now I started to watch it with my husband who declared about a third of the way through he would prefer to watch paint dry and retreated to his office :D I loved it, also shed a tear at the end… so if you watch it have tissues ready :(
11 July, 2011 at 5:38 pm #473024The thing is Annette you know full well Thin will never let you have the last word… I know you will never admit to this, but I have a feeling his comments hurt you much more than you let on, whereas your comments just make Thin laugh.
Follow other peoples lead here and just let him ramble on to himself (sorry Thin) remember Annette, in the real world your name is not AnnetteCurtain, whatever Thin says is directed at that fictitious name… treat it as that and ignore it. Life is too short to let insults to a fictitious name on a chat site be important enough for you to take action, forget it.
