I think you are viewing this too simplisticly. Bullies usually target people who they thing are vunerable for some reason. Anything else (hair colour, clothing, ect) just provides the opertunity to start the abuse.

I’m well aware of this, but it isn’t always the case.

Yes, but for the bully to be able to tell that there is something wrong with their intended target, there must be some recognisable signs that they are acting off. If these can be recognised and taught to parents then it may allow any issues to be identified earlier and for an appropriate treatment to be started.

If this is true, then it also raises the question why the bully can detect that something is wrong, why can’t the child’s parents?

The Duluth model (as implemented) usually states that all claims of violence against a women must automaticly be believe. Proponents of this model usually also are the type that say that words are a type of violence. (The Duluth model also states that the women is always the vicim of the abuse, even if they are the agressor). It is something I…[Read more]

It’s hard to tell the difference between people who are virtue signaling, and people who genuinely care about an issue when I don’t know anything about them.

It is the role of a parent to advise them on what they should do. As they have ‘adult eyes’ as you descibe it.
And yes, blocking the people involved will halt it, words cannot hurt you if you can’t see them.
(Not that they should hurt you when you can see them)

(Positivist branches of sociology can broadly considered to be scientific, but critical ‘theory’, of any variety does not fall into this category)

It stop the online aspect of the bullying, in order to stop any physical part then other measures must be taken. As I have repeatedly said during this thread.

Rationally, if you want to prevent it happening to other kids.
Maybe you don’t care about that, I don’t know. But I have young children, and it’s in my interest in preventing them from commiting suicide.
