Would u like to explain what your on about Owen. Ive always assumed that hidden files were files that u had hidden yourself from prying eyes within your own home. Not files that can be accessed from the outside world. As far as i know I havent got or used any hidden files…. :?
Oh and ive tried running my anti-virus software in safe mode but it wont work. It works fine in normal mode though. Why’s that.. :?:
System files are hidden by default. Your files are not hidden, therefore, the Windows
settings on your pc have been changed manually via your keyboard, or by a hacker via
the internet. You still haven’t told me if you are using a firewall. I also need to know which anti-virus
software you’re using. {It sounds dodgy if it doesn’t run in Safe Mode)11 October, 2006 at 6:09 am #243981You remind me of the Tories Geoffrey; opposition for oppositions sake, but nothing
constructive to add to the debate.11 October, 2006 at 2:54 am #243779@fastcars wrote:
I just tried what you said Owen and that box is already ticked in my computer. I dont have any hidden files.
Your System Files are open for all to see!
Do you have a firewall?
Have you read about or heard of this, and this?
I wouldn’t use my credit card online, or engage in online banking if I were you. 8-[10 October, 2006 at 1:43 am #243977@tam1969 wrote:
I watched question time thursday 5th and there was a labour and consevative mps on the show and i swear i could,nt tell the difference between them.so i watched the conservative conference to see if i just picked up the wrong pesona ,well to my surprise it was like watching new labour and tony blairs new atemt 10years ago.
least ten years ago there were fundamental differnces between the parties but sadly now they are both singing from the same hymn book.Until the conservative leadership gets there policies into print then people are going to get turned off even more to politics. At a time when there is severe political challenges to come from foreighn policy and to social justice.tony blair wants to step aside now before he becomes a liabilaty.labour have got loads to sort out so lets stop the cheap political swipes at each other and try and get on with the job in hand .tam
New Labour did steal the middle ground from the Conservative Party, leaving the
Conservatives without policies.
They are now trying to change and make new policies to defeat Labour. The puzzling part
is, if New Labour have adopted many Tory policies, why do the Tories feel the need to
change? It’s as if they never really believed in there old policies and have to change in
order to oppose. :-s10 October, 2006 at 1:20 am #243770@sharongooner wrote:

can anybody help or should i pop off to that site that fasty suggested….. did you find it helpful atall hun?
Scan your pc with your anti-virus program.
That should find the virus and give you the option to repair the infected file or delete
the virus.9 October, 2006 at 11:40 pm #243768@fastcars wrote:
Ok…. ive moved on a bit…… not far…. but a bit.
When i download the software to my computer it is delivered in a zip file.
It automatically puts it into this file on my computer
C/documents and settings/my name/local settings/temporary internet files/contentIES/wininet.dll
When I click onto my zip program to unzip it i click onto browse and this is as far as i get.
C/documents and settings/my name/local settings/
Then there is no tempory internet files so i cant go any further which consequently means I cant unzip the file
Is this making any sense to anybody or am i just rambling to myself…. 8-[
Temporary Internet Files are normally hidden.
