Phobias are beyond our control, bigotry is optional.
Therefore, a genuine homophobe is not a bigot.The law is evolving. New laws are coming into being to prevent Islamic fundamentalists from burning flags and demanding that people who offend Islam be killed.
The law applies to all.
Surely the BNP would be in favour of a database to tackle crime, AND keep out ‘undesirables’? :-s
