Romanians have caravans and are not to be trusted.

Romanians are from the country of Romania ….. Surely ?

    And your point is..??

Good morning ! I have no interest in point scoring. Terry.

However, I just wanted to say …

I think you may have meant Romany ? As in Romany people …

    :?

My point about Romanians owning caravans was a ‘generalisation’ which is what this thread is about.
Theonly person interested in ‘point scoring’ seems to be panda.

Admit it Telboy. You don’t know the difference between Romanies and Romanians, do you?

We can have a trade agreement with them which would cost us nothing just like Norway and Switzerland…… what is it we get from Europe to justify 17.5 billion each year? More to the point do we need whatever it is?

Nobody needs the EU. That’s the whole point.

Europe has always needed Europe in one way or another and there has always been a “union,” hence the reason we went to war when Germany did not withdraw from Poland. There’s lot more examples of this union. Perhaps you should read some history books.

    Just a thought.

Im still not sure what it is we want from Europe except to trade freely with them the original referendum was sold on what was then called the common market… thats what was voted on.. free trade.

That is why, if there is a referendum, it is imperative that all the facts are presented in an easy to understand, transparent manner. No scare mongering propaganda, xenophobia or political posturing just the plain and simple facts as to what the pros and cons are to the man in street. Only then can ppl decide what they want.

A trade only agreement sounds good Teapot but this country has a long established history of being a major player in European political affairs. I can’t see the powers that be stepping aside from hundreds of years of “tradition” and entering a period of “splendid (political) isolation.”

Seems some ppl still think we are the biggest fish in the pond but we’re not by a long shot. We are disliked in Europe. If we left and had no political say, we would be powerless and at the mercy of the rest of Europe. What would there be to stop them revoking any trade agreement with us on a whim?

Personally, I think it takes the skill out of art, undermines talent and generally dumbs it down.

Can’t beat canvas and oil paints. The skill is coming direct from the artist. No computer generated auto correct.

Same can be said for photography. Photoshop et al has dumbed it down. Now any old “enthusiast” can pass themselves off as a pro using the various enhancement and edit tools.
