i’m sure you never use candles or wax crayons either panda..
back to topic, the farmer has got security cameras up now but not heard they’ve had any luck finding them yet unfortunately. There was a similar incidence beginning of the year with a beautiful friesian stallion, Report Here his genitals, an eye and teeth cut out and numerous slices over his body. i know its not good reading and a horrible subject, but if it lets people know just what people are out there and makes others aware, and be careful about looking out for their own animals, its worth bringing it up.

I actually agree with you on this. You’re quite right, I don’t use wax crayons, or candles. I’m far too old for the former and the latter were never used in my household even as a child. And I’m not religious and light candles in church.

I’m afraid animals are an easy target especially at night time.

How about lambs being slaughtered at an abottoir?

Dunno about you but I’m a vegetarian and have been for 26 years so I think that answers your question.

    No it doesn’t.

Isn’t it cruel that lambs (ickle baby sheep) are murdered by having their throats slit?

And what are you actively doing to protest about it?

Yes it is cruel. What do I actively do? Lots of protest work which in the interests of my privacy I will not divulge on here.

How do you feel about lambs being slaughtered?

    And I think you’ll find it’s abbatoir. :P

and how did those cows feel having a human, a creature that they had always trusted approach them expect the usual stroke or food and get beaten by a hammer and had they tongue cut out… yes this is the topic not fox hunting as i said, so i wont be replying to those comments again, its been done to death many many times this is a new thread about something that happened recently to three innocent animals. But i guess they dont matter to you panda just worry abt the wee little foxes that are no longer hunted as they were anyway, i’ll leave that to you and your constant harping to the past, and worry abt the here and now cruelty, which you appear not to give a hoot about apart from agreeing its sick, as a means of digging at me.

I abhor all forms of cruelty to all animals and actively do something about it. You however, are selective in what breeds you deem suffer cruelty and which don’t. Your understanding of cruelty is warped as well.

But then again, anyone who pays to actively take part in hunting an animal to death, gaining enjoyment from it is severely mentally warped anyway, rather like those who mutilated those tame, and trusting animals.

The means to the end might be different but the end is the same – getting pleasure from inflicting fear, pain and suffering on another living creature that cannot defend itself.

Firstly..I am free to comment on whatever i see fit to comment on, despite certain people constantly trying to silent those they feel unworthy.

Secondly… I dont want to get this into a for or against fox hunting thread again thats been done to death many time on here over the years and NOT what i was posting about … but
I would rather see an animal (i know this will be contested but it is 99% of the time fact and yes i have hunted(waits for the stoning )and have seen what happens from the front line so to speak, the horror videos that are shown are very few and far between, they have a quick death by a natural predator with suprisingly speed and little stress or suffering as is often portrayed, …
as opposed to a human being,( which was the purpose of this thread before it was hi jacked and turned personal rather than commenting on the actual issue in question), torture it with a hammer or by cutting its tongue out and obviously enjoy the suffering they made said animal feel, these animals werent killed just left to suffer, that to me is sick yes.
although i do fully understand the opinions and why they were stated regarding the fact i hunted many years ago, but not what my point on this was.

I’d wonder if it would cause you “little stress” if you were being chased by a pack of dogs knowing that when you’re caught, you’re going to die.

I dont want to copy and paste the long posts about taking over housing but wanted to say that a few years ago , in Newry, a bye law( i think) was passed ordering all house owners to make property habitable in a specific length of time. When it wasnt done, the council took over the houses ( whole streets in some instances) and totally renovated them, to the point of pulling some down and rebuilding on the site. We now have , totally occupied, streets of lovely houses that were once nothing more than empty eyesores.

Exactly – it is possible if local gov want to ensure they have towns instead of ghost towns.

I just don’t understand why it is so difficult.

If it’s true from what the other posters have said that you are pro fox hunting, then it really doesn’t put you in the best position to comment on such issues.

So anyone who supports any use of animals in a way that someone else disagrees with isn’t in a position to comment on cruelty of this nature?
Well that rules out anyone who fishes, goes to the horse racing, dog racing, or anything involving animals that is for pleasure and so on…let’s not forget the people who may have used magnifying glasses on ants in their childhood, or people who teased dogs into a frenzy for the sheer fun of it, and so on. Doesn’t leave many people left in a position to comment on animal cruelty does it?

Everyone is in a position to comment, if only more people did instead of just tutting then turning the page over in their newspapers or changing the tv channel.

Sure Poli can comment but it’s her definition of what constitues “sick” and “cruel” that makes me laugh seeing she has admitted on here to being on fox hunts.

    Oh the irony!

How can people do this, and the fact they can will surely lead to something far more sinister, people that do things like this can often end up committing murder.
These kind of people need stopping and locking away for a very long time.

I’d say the same applies to fox hunters, stag hunters, hare coursers, in fact anyone who kills animals for fun.

Btw, like dog and horse racing, although I don’t agree with them, cannot be put in the same category as fox hunting, as the aim of these sports is not to kill the animals involved.

So no, as far as I am concerned I agree with Poet, poli a self confessed supporter of fox hunting, a participant in fox hunting is in no position to comment on the sick cruelty others inflict on animals – it just makes her a hypocrite.
