So simplistic and naive IMHO. Ah of course, since then you’ve thrown in a few references to Gordon Brown just to mix it up a bit but your arguement in my eyes, remains incrediably simplistic and naive.

You really don’t bring anything to the debate. Apart from abuse.

OK Tel – where’s the abuse in that post, or any other?

    It’s the abuse of privilege.

I’m not a racist despite your subliminal attempts to make me appear like one.

I’ve been subjected to racial abuse all my life. I know what it feels like. I don’t bring racism into my opinion and it’s not in my mindset.

Not calling him a racist or using the word racism or characterising him as such and yet he’s so convinced!!!

Panda, may I enrol for your “Increase Your Powers Of Suggestion” course? I could rule the bloody world from my armchair!!!!!!

I’m working on the DVD now. This time next year I’ll be a millionaire! :P

For 50 years, kids have done better than their parents….the next generation will be the first to do worse

How scarey and sad is the above statement…..so what is the solution? Of course it won’t be all the kids but I am assuming a large majority…how do we tackle teen pregnancies and kids not wanting to continue in further education?
How do we tackle the price of houses being so high? More and more kids don’t move out of the parental home…so I guess when the kids get to a certain age and the parents are older the kids must just be waiting around for the parents to pop their clogs….so that will mean they will have a house with no mortgage…will we have to wait for at least 2 generations for things to start re balancing out with a large majority of kids not having to pay for mortgages and rent for their wages to let them live comfortably and not on the bread line?
    What do you think?

Lack of housing – apparently there are 729,000 empty homes in England alone: http://www.emptyhomes.com/statistics-2/ Perhaps these could be made habitable?

Teen pregnancies – a lack of education I think as well as the belief that once you have a baby, you get a council house and benefits. I think that is a direct product of the education system in this country – it is too academic focused and there is not enough emphasis on practical / vocational skills.

Not every child is blessed academically so studying academic subjects past say 13 or 14 holds no interest for them. I think as long as a child obtains a certain level of literacy and numeracy at 13 / 14 they should be able to go on and study for practical / vocational qualifications in an area that interests them and in which they would like a career. This line of study, is of course available at age 16 with further education colleges but I think by then it is too late.

So there was no abuse? Why say there was? Subliminal? If you say so.

Why, you are a sensitive little soul.

Sgt, I’m beginning to think panda struggles on a certain commonsensical level and would rather sit on the fence throwing stones, hoping we go away.

Spot on Tel boy! I take after you, I sit on the fence throwing stones @ the fence poles! :D

Thank you for that panda.. and my apologies. you posted your “explanation” whilst I was posing my question.
    Synchronicity at it’s best.

Now, tell me, did you find Tel’s post to be racist at all?

I don’t think it has anything to do with synchronicity. I posted my “explanation” @ 9.09 am, your question was 9.28 am – perhaps you never bothered to read page 11.

Well of course I found Terry’s post racist – Teapot said so didn’t she?

Panda if you want to start a new thread on that go ahead…. but dont ruin threads with your silly racist remarks… there is only one person here has race issues … thats you, Terry’s remarks were based on sound economic fact… all you do is try to make racist argument where there are none..

I know Im playing into your hands posting this… well so be it… had to be said

Well, how did I find Terry’s post? Rather naive and simplistic, but according to Teapot, it’s “sound economic fact” to blame Polish people.

 Now now, no need to be so sparky love.
As for the timing of the posts lol.. well, it’s obvious I didn’t read the latter posts of the previous page, but through no insidious conspiracy believe me, not unless you call making my daughter’s fruity porridge whilst trying to post a crime.
    Hence the delay.
Hope that clears that major issue up.

    I’m still confused.
    I didn’t ask for Mrs Teapot’s take.
    I want to know yours.
Apart from being naive and simplistic.. was Tel’s post racist or not?
    Yes or no?

I’ve answered you, Pepper. Do keep up.

    You did?
    Where?
With the “Teapot said so didn’t she?” gig?
    Hardly a straightforward confirmation.
Can you give a straightforward confirmation please?
    Much appreciated.

My answer is there, Pepper. Have a look and you might find it.

I never mentioned race. And yes, mass immigration has strained our economy. Oh and by the way – it’s “country’s'” not “countries”. Sorry…grammar is my bug bear!

    If you say so.

Please feel free to elaborate. If you can, that is.

Sure. Your decided that it’s all the Poles / Eastern European’s fault:

    @terry wrote:

What we need is an end to european integration.

The Poles have sent home – according to a national statistics survey – £23 billion in the last seven years. It’s money our economy cannot afford to lose. It’s basic economic madness for this country to allow east Europeans to work here in the numbers they do.

So simplistic and naive IMHO. Ah of course, since then you’ve thrown in a few references to Gordon Brown just to mix it up a bit but your arguement in my eyes, remains incrediably simplistic and naive.

I was merely commenting and letting my feelings be known in general to Panda’s comments….everyone is entitled to their opinions….all threads go off tangent

Panda’s mindset is obsessed with racism and trying to trying to find it where it doesn’t exist. Suppression of opinions also seems to be her thing. I don’t mind debating but there comes a timewhen opinions such as hers needs to be backed up with fact rather than emotion.

LOL You are the one that brought up the issue of race! You are the one that has decided East European immigration is the cause of this countries economic problems!

Just like a generation or two ago decided that Asian and West Indiam immigration was the cause of this countries ills – the arguement doesn’t change just the ethnic group. Who will it be in the next recession?

I can’t take you seriously, you are obviously a very skilled wind up merchant. :D
