When I was a financial advisor, I used to get lots of self employed ppl wanting mortgages.

Problem is, their accounts would only show very small incomes. Even multiplying it by three or three and half would certainly not be enough to cover the amount they wanted.

They would then confess to cooking their books or getting most of their income in cash.

Much as it upset me, I couldn’t help them without proof that their £15k income was really £40k

Oh and they were benefit cheats too – claiming tax credits or working family tax credits.

You asked a question that solicited opinions.
2 people expressed an opinion contrary to your own, neither stooped to dismissing other people’s opinions, they just stated their own.
You say “I have my opinion, you and pepsi have yours” yet your response is to call into question our view of hygiene, to accuse Pepsi of scaremongering and being hysterical, and now we’re the thread police. No sign of a reasoned argument, just a rant about how humans are less hygienic than cats.
