I do get the irony but that is an extreme example.
My pic is on this thread a few times, and people that chat in the rooms will know the county that I’m in, but I can count the people that have any more detailed info on me like my real name, location and phone number, on one hand. That information was shared in pm and in confidence. If any of those started to put my details in the room (which I know they wouldn’t) then I think I would be justified in being upset.
Hmmm don’t think it’s an extreme example.
I can name many a chatter whose ID has been found out. Loose gossip etc etc

Indeed. You put my apologises with the others. Wherever they might be.
I’m glad you’re not grumpy. It’s just you seemed to be wishing me a car accident. I thought it a bit of an overreaction, I must say. I surmised that either I must of upset you unwittingly or perhaps we had knocked against each other in the past when you had a different name. Still, I’m glad I was mistaken and it’s all cleared up now.
Now, we seem to have got down to the idea that horse poo is to be feared because it is a menace on the roads. I must mention at this point that I have an estate in the country and have driven over plops of horse poo on many occasions. I have to report that I have never lost control of my car once because of it and, if I’m honest, I’m not sure it’s really possible.
With that in mind, could you point me in the direction of a report of this ever happening? I know you mentioned the farmer that allowed great quantities of mud to spill over the carriageway and was prosecuted for not making any effort to clear it up but it’s hardly the same as a bit of horse poo in the road, which is what we’re chaffing on about.
Do you eat horse poo as you seem to regurgatate enough of it.

There’s a world of difference between chosing to share something of yourself in a public domain and having someone else plaster your details around without your permission.
And how do those that plaster a chatter’s details about get them in the first place?
Chatters use a nic in here to protect themselves but “leak” other details in chat that enable them to be identified. They moan about that and then plaster a pic of themselves!
Example – a well known chatter / poster has pics on here. They also state the town where they live and the bars in which they drink in their chats and posts but they didn’t like it when they were identified by name in the chat room (I’m going back a while)
Do you still not get the irony?

So ppl in here chat using a nic to remain anonymous.
They hate it if any of their personal details such as name or phone number get given out on the boards or in the chat rooms yet some are happy to post pics of themselves and say the area / town in which they live.
What’s more likely to identify you to a nutter? Your own face and the area in which you live or a name that could be shared by hundreds of ppl living anywhere in the country?
I could walk out of a bar or shop and a nutter could follow me… what difference?
You miss my point. My point is the irony of chatters in here moaning about their personal details being given out yet happily post a pic of their face.
What’s more personal than your face?

Regardless of their standing in society royal or common peasants they are two people who fell in love and have chosen to take their vows to be husband and wife, i guess their chances of lasting are the same as any other marriage in this day and age but i wish them all the best in their future lives together albeit a different and extremely difficult life they will have, some will say they are rich etc what difficulties, but id rather be penniless and free, be able to walk down the street without having my every move scrutinised, but certainly william has had the training and knows what it will be like, i just hope they are allowed to have their own private life as well as their public one.
They have a choice – the Queen can abdicate and the others can choose to become “ordinary” people.
They can choose to end the monarchy if they wish by refusing to be “royal” and who the feck is going to stop them?
The returns they get for being “royal” and for being in the public eye is their disgusting wealth (stolen from the “peasants”) ridiculously large homes and a privileged life – so tough shyte if they have no privacy – they don’t deserve any!
Or if they want privacy then give up being “royal” – they can’t have it both ways.
