Yes I can relate to that PATS. But the question posed by the originator of this thread was words to the effect of “Do single parent’s make bad parents?” Well clearly they don’t just because they are single.
It can only be a generalisation can’t it? For every single (or unmarried) parent there are going to be a complete mixture of the good, the bad & the ugly. Precisely the same must apply to married ones too.
I guess that, as a generalisation only, if a couple are prepared to go to all the fuss, bother and expense in order to get married, it implies that their relationship is perhaps regarded by them as being more permanent than if they just decide to live together and leave it at that.
Some of the most solid couples I know have been together for many years but arent married. I dont think it makes any difference, it is afterall just a piece of paper to some people. You could argue that taking out a mortgage with someone is a greater commitment these days given the life span of the average marriage.

my best mate is a single mum. she does a fantastic job. her sons are a credit to her and they are the most helpful respectful kids i know. anyone who calls single mums is an ass. and single dads for that matter. it never ceases to amaze me that SOME men instantly see a single mum as a slapper and a crack head. but it doesnt stop the same morons from trying to get into the single mums knickers every weekend. if every parent were forced to pay maintenance for their unwanted offspring there would be far fewer unwanted babies anyway. not every single mum wants life this way. the sad thing is, most mums are in this predicament because the so called MAN in the relationship does a runner as soon as the baby arrives, and the all night sex and boozing takes a back shelf to nappy changing and being broke..leave the mums alone…

Has it ever occured to you that women are also sometimes responsible for relationship break ups? You seem hell bent on blaming this all on men. You may recall that it takes two to make a baby, they share equal responsibility in its creation. You also assume that because a relationship ends that the baby becomes unwanted. Get with it.

These people who are profiting from a sold out concert actually provide a service for fans. They give them hope to see something they love.Yeah im sure that when these rip off merchants buy up all the front row seats for concerts that they have no intention of ever going to are thinking about the service they are doing for the fans  Get real, its all about greed.
