Yes it’s a big question.
Poli I agree with you.
There are always some that will abuse the system to get an easy time of it. However, without going into great detail I think I have a good understanding of the definition of the terms the vulnerable and the deserving.
And yes as a society we should be prepared to look after those people in need.

Do we not have the responsibility to take care of any vulnerable people in our society.
I’m not in favour of encouraging teenage pregnancies. No. But who are we to judge when we do not know full circumstances of another’s situation.
It’s ok generalising about one group or another….And I’m pretty sick of hearing anecdotes about people getting benefits and houses etc .. There’s poverty out there….

Kenty’s original statement. i fear could be truer than would be ideal, but sometimes things need to go bust and have us focus on the basics like putting food on the table and a roof over our head to prevent us spending the next two generations being so far from whats important we don’t know or understand human values anymore. So maybe its not such a bad thing in some respects, not good news for our immediate children perhaps but hopefully good for the future of the human race and be forced to concentrate on whats important., like family, enforced extended family situations may not be so bad, communities, working hard for what we want and not getting government handouts, whether home grown or immigrants.I agree with you Poli.
In addition…. Terry do you have to point the finger at just one group. It’s hardly fair!
