:-s I don’t agree with this idea that JC is all about scrapping, however much some people would have us believe otherwise. I enjoy the scuffling and intrigue as much as anyone but there are, and always have been, good threads and posters as well. I’m not even just talking about the arty or beard stroking stuff, either. By turns JC can be touching, supportive, romantic, funny, inspiring, edukashonamal and plain loopy.

As a result, I’d like to nominate You Will, You Won’t by the Zutons. :D

I’m always in hospital. Mainly footballing injuries caused by my extraordinary bravery in the face of peril. A few scars do a man good, in any case. I reckon life is there is a close parallel between what Brian Clough said about the game and life in general. He said, if you come off the field and your shorts aren’t dirty, then you haven’t been playing properly. I say, if you get out of life without a few scars and a few tales of broken bones, then you haven’t been living properly.

 I’ve still got to try that. I’ll do it when I’m between shifts, so to speak. Got to find a use for the stuff. I’ve got a boxful and I’m not drinking that lot. :-…

:-s Have you been at my stash, Squeezy?

:-s He seems to be having problems conceptualising the trinity and getting himself all worked up.

Islam finds Christianity easier to tolerate than the other way around because it evolved out of the full Abrahamic mix. It can rationalise Christianity as an error arising out of incomplete knowledge – it fails to acknowledge Mohammad. Conversely, to Christianity, Islam is a heresy. Jesus taught us all we need to know and anyone following Him, unless He is the returning Messiah, is a false prophet.

:-s This is astounding! Do you mean to imply there was a time in the dim and distant past when listening to heavy metal was cool? What outlandry is this? Someone call for my heavy metal adviser at once.

:-s That might be because Mohammad completely failed to turn up for a few hundred years. And the writer(s) of the Koran certainly was (were) around to give a good account of the crucifixion. If the story is to be believed, the Koran was penned by God.

:D Follow the sound of the barking. Easy.

 I’ve no idea. I’ll get my heavy metal adviser to run the rule over it and let you know.
