I had to get married twice. Our all inclusive wedding package at a local hotel didn’t include booking a registrar. We didn’t find out until proceedings were well under way. :oops:

Luckily, a member of my groom’s party was the son of a Baptist minister. He arranged for his dad to come down and carry out a blessing, so as to avoid a complete disaster. We gave our notice to be married once we’d come back off honeymoon and were officially married two weeks later during our lunch hours with work colleagues as witnesses. The second reception was at BurgerKing, no less. Whoppers all round.
