:-s Good grief. I bet the young colonial has only come back so he can crow if the upside-down Jocks win the ashes back against our understrength, side-that-would-have-obviously-won-if-everyone-was-fit, brave, gentlemanly battlers in the coming tour. A dashed cheek.

:-s What a rum bunch of louche youth. Sheer sartorial terrorism.

Quite frankly, my dear Betty, balls. Your only concern should be having a good time. If this rakish fellow seems to be aiding and abetting that end, then all well and good. I reckon at your age, the first sign of this bounder being a bit of a dampener on your joie de vivre should lead to his instant dismissal. This may be psychologically hard, especially with the first few men, but it should always be remembered that the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else.

    Hope this helps. :D

:-s I didn’t ask you for your bedroom habits.

No. You’d want tip-ex™ for that.

    Get a grip, Emma.

I’m off down the solicitors to adjust my will. What a cracking idea!

I am prepared, at a push, to consider that spiders might have opinions, Emma, though I am by no means convinced. However, under no circumstances will I accept that ready salted crisps have opinions of their own.

    …its not about dictionary definitions…

It clearly is about dictionary definitions. I think the whole thing hinges on whether arachnids have opinions. Emma says they do, while I’m not so sure. See, I think that an arachnid doesn’t really have an opinion on leg moving or anything else. I think it is a much simpler organism than that. I believe it would have to be self-aware to have an opinion and I’m not sure the genus are. We’d have to ask an animal psychologist.

That being said, even if it were proven that spiders are self-aware I would be a happy spiderist. I don’t think they are as important as people, much like baby seals in that respect, and would probably even go so far as to start a right wing spiderist political party. Leaflets, violent rallies in spider neighbourhoods, standing for elections – all underpinned and financed by criminality. And, let me tell you, if we ever got to power those spiders would be deported faster than all their little legs could touch the ground. If they opined that this wasn’t fair or they resisted, well, there’s always the Final Solution.
