Hence his position at Stamford Bridge every two weeks!
We’ve a new manager with a new line up. Give it time. :wink:He is still overrated as a player..As an overall football player…Anyone should be able to see it..A few Sweden players also said the same thing..He’s too slow on the ball..Not a very good passer of the ball..He is known for scoring..But if you look at Paul Scholes, then look at him..He hasn’t got sh1t on Paul Scholes, or other midfielders for that matter..If you cut out his scoring ability..Then he wouldn’t actually have much ability as a football player.

lampard was very poor again,…
Lampard was surplus to requirements against a eleven man defence.
We need a more worthy opposition before we pass judgement. The world cup performances passed a good enough judgement. He is overrated as a player..

lampard was very poor again, can’t even keep the ball against poor opps… downing is alright, but i prefer cole out on the wing or even richardson, england play better with attacking wingers
so go for that approach i say
I agree…I think Lampard should have been dropped ages ago..He is another overrated player who will shoot at every opportunity, but can’t do much else. I prefer Richardson to Downing..He is such a boring player…I love how you think he’s going to run at a player, then you realise he has no pace or flair to actually go by an opponant..So he’ll stop, stand there, go backwards, then pass back, or he’ll stand in one place, and just cross lol..He’s a good crosser, and in my opinion, that’s all he is good at.

mclaren is the man….!!!!!!!!! brill formation and great to see him singing the nat anthm, someting sven couldnt do no matter how much he was paid lol!!!!!
all in all a footie persons dream today… (well for me anyway!)
It was a good result, but I personally do not rate Downing…I think he is extremely overrated, and another thing…I thought Lennon should have started at the beginning..You can say what you want about the result, because we would have won regardless…I just don’t think Downing should be picked in the starting 11..But he will get picked anyway, because Mclaren brought him through at Middlesborough and wants to see him succeed…I’m not saying Mclaren is a poor manager or anything, before any of you do start, because I do actually rate Mclaren..I just hope when Joe Cole comes back..He’ll put him back on the left, with Gerrard moving back in the middle, with Lennon on the right. I would also love to see Darren Bent get a chance….What has he got to do to get in the starting line up? 2nd goal scorer in the premier league last season, and is putting away goals this season. Lets not forget that Bent is banging them in for an average premier league side..I do think he deserved his chance today.

I’ll find out soon..He might not even be playing tomorrow yet…Most likely be on Sunday, as Gonzalaz was on today too.

I FIND MYSELF AGREEING WITH YOU ROBBO…COME ON ANDY
At a young age, players struggle with consistancy…Look at Blake, even Baghdatis, Berdych…Federer did when he was 21 and coming up, now look at him…Murray will find that consistancy with age and experience…While his game is developing, he will struggle with consistancy, like all the greats and brillient tennis players in the past.
I still think he will do it tomorrow, but it will be extremely tough! If he beats him, the draw will open up perfect for Murray.

Yup, should be a great match up. Im going for Murray though.
A lot of cash was stacked on him to win this tourney before the start. I dont think he’s quite ready to grab a Slam yet, but you never know.
Being realistic if he even get to the real buisness end of a few Slams in the next few years It’ll be progress.Alot of cash was stacked on him to win it, because there is so much money on it. But in realistic terms…He isn’t expected to win it. Tomorrow will be extremely tough for him, but he can do it if he plays like he can…If Gonzalaz is firing on all cylinders, then Murray best prepare for a really REALLY tough game!

Looks like a bit of a Walkover for Murray. :D
Great performance from Andre Agassi last night by the way. The 36 yr old Showman playing with injections beating number 8 seed Marcos Baghdatis 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 5-7, 7-5.
Yeh…Baghdatis is a really good up and coming player..He was seeded 8th here..I think he is 21…I didn’t expect Agassi to win that though..Great performance and it was a great match!
1 September, 2006 at 7:31 pm #235500Murray just ruined an experienced pro, beating him 6-0, 6-1, 6-1..He ONLY dropped 2 games…What a performance…The next task will be much harder, playing Gonzalaz, 10th seed, tomorrow or Sunday…When Gonzalaz is on form, he is nearly unstoppable…But we know what Murray is like when he is on form too..It will be a magnificent match.
