apart from an Enid blyton thing i read,the first novel i EVER read was “skinhead” lol,,i was far too young and never really understood the Joe Hawkins genre.. I didnt get the dirty bits at all!!! i was 8 !

went back to Enid as she was more convincing to a young brain, that sought after treasure troves and lashings and lashings of ginger beer !

Then as an adult ,i wanted to splatter her writings as an anti Marxist sub – plot..
