Shane Meadows is a brilliant director of this genre/era..i KNEW ya must have seen it ! ..
sad film,especially the realisation at the end…I watched it 3 times knowing the “surprise” ending,and i got even more from it,,clever writing.and trancey directorial skills !

in a nutshell a young dude that gets picked on when he joins a bad bunch of londoners..he gets blamed for evetything..brother gets out of army and looks after him,,getting revenge on the kunts that took a loan of his wee bro…its a cracker,but very sad ! and very violent !

sweeney todd…and i kinda liked “this is england!” more for the soundtrack and the politics of the era..the wee lad was excellent as a young guy looking for love..
prefer Shane Meadow’s ” dead man shoes” though,,that was the epitome of brit film,,

She’s like, one of the most influential people of the 20th century. A very intelligent girl for her age. She was more intelligent than most adults at the tender age of 13. You just have to read her diary to see that.
