Neither! NO not coz I’m a misery but, when I was a young un. Halloween wasn’t the big deal it is nowadays. Bornfire night was the biggy – penny for the guy etc.

I have to say that I think Halloween is a comercial trait inherited from our American friends & while I think it’s great to have Halloween parties etc and am all for the kids having fun at Halloween, peeps shouldn’t feel they have to participate in the trick or treat malarky. I for one don’t oject to my kids friends calling but do dread the chancers coming to my door.

Daft thing about all this is, these “young uns” aren’t doing anything different than the oldies of the media world. Difference is the public are better informed than they were in the 60’s 70’s & 80’s.

Look at the likes of The Stones, Staus Quo, The Sex Pistols etc etc, all have admitted drug & alcohol abuse in the past.

I say good luck to them! It’s annoying when you are paying full whack but the cost of virgin / sky is extortinate. :evil:
I live in an area where it is almost impossible to get a decent tv picture without cable so I haven’t got a choice other than to pay up. I don’t have the full package though – too expensive.
