In the summer of 2005, I had the good fortune of visiting Florence.
As all you film lovers out there will know, the first half of the grossly undervalued movie Hannibal was based in the stunning Renaissance city.
This clip is without a doubt my fave from the whole film, with a breathtaking introduction to the city, on to a beautifully crafted and performed choral aria based on a poetic work by Dante, and the ghoulish charm of Lecter towards the end.
When I stood in the actual shoot location of this sequence three years ago, it totally thrilled me.
I was going to put this in the Film Clips section, but the music is just sublime.
