**Stomps in.. wearing his stilettos (with matching garter) howling.. only to sulk off to his dressing room. Head in hands, pushing his entourage away, playing “all by myself” on repeat, downing snowballs like there is no tomorrow, checking his texts every minute, and asking for sausage rolls from Gregs to be delivered for some “comfort” **

You may not believe it
But I don’t believe in miracles anymore
And when I think about it
I don’t believe I ever did for sure
All the things I’ve said in songs
All the purple prose you bought from me
Reality’s just black and white
The sentimental things I’d write
Never meant that much to meI used to be the main express
All steam and whistles heading west
Picking up my pain from door to door
Riding on the storyline
Furnace burning overtime
But this train don’t stop
This train don’t stop
This train don’t stop there anymoreYou don’t need to hear it
But I’m dried up and sick to death of love
If you need to know it
I never really understood that stuff
All the stars and bleeding hearts
All the tears that welled up in my eyes
Never meant a thing to me
Read ’em as they say and weep
I’ve never felt enough to cryI used to be the main express
All steam and whistles heading west
Picking up my pain from door to door
Riding on the storyline
Furnace burning overtime
But this train don’t stop
This train don’t stop
This train don’t stop there anymoreWhen I said that I don’t care
It really means my engine’s breaking down
The chisel chips my heart again
The granite cracks beneath my skin
I crumble into pieces on the groundI used to be the main express
All steam and whistles heading west
Picking up my pain from door to door
Riding on the storyline
Furnace burning overtime
But this train don’t stop
This train don’t stop
This train don’t stop there anymoreThis train don’t stop
This train don’t stop
This train don’t stop there anymoreOh yeah..

12 May, 2008 at 12:40 am #139653I want love
But it’s impossible
A man like me
So irresponsible
A man like me is dead in places
Other men feel liberatedAnd I can’t love
Shot full of holes
Don’t feel nothing
I just feel cold
Don’t feel nothing
Just old scars
Toughening up around my heartBut I want love
Just a different kind
I want love won’t break me down
Won’t brick me up
Won’t fence me in
I want a love that don’t mean a thing
That’s the love I want
I want loveI want love on my own terms
After everything I’ve ever learned
Me I carry too much baggage
Oh man I’ve seen so much trafficBut I want love
Just a different kind
I want love won’t break me down
Won’t brick me up
Won’t fence me in
I want a love that don’t mean a thing
That’s the love I want
I want loveSo bring it on
I’ve been bruised
Don’t give me love that’s clean and smooth
I’m ready for the rougher stuff
No sweet romance
I’ve had enoughA man like me is dead in places
Other men feel liberatedBut I want love
Just a different kind
I want love won’t break me down
Won’t brick me up
Won’t fence me in
I want a love that don’t mean a thing
That’s the love I want
I want loveI want love
Just a different kind
I want love won’t break me down
Won’t brick me up
Won’t fence me in
I want a love that don’t mean a thing
That’s the love I want
I want loveElton John / Bernie Taupin

I dont really understand middle names to be honest
Well Pete.. being of the Roman persuasion here, I was given one upon Baptism and then required to take one at Confirmation O:) .
Ditto
yes but is this a requirement?
Dunno about requirement as in the whole “clean boxers” / “decent shoes” kinda context  , but yes, certainly within the whole Catholic framework it was (and is in almost every case) very much a national / religious form of custom / tradition .. not to mention a Church Definite!
Bear with me .. it’s Ireland
My original middle name is Luke.. which kinda gained some street cred in the 70s with the whole Skywalker gig (though I would’ve much prefered Han).
My Confirmation name is one I had freedom to pick for myself.. Alexander.. coz I was reading quite a bit about the Great one at the time :P
Ps.. clean boxers and Catholicism  .. let’s NOT go there :?
