Really bad news for the employees. I thought Barclays were going to remain as one of the “old faithful” so to speak. I spose it was inevitable really.
After changin net providers Ive become quite accustomed to talking to providers in India. They have been polite (to the extreme, which isnt always helpful when you have wires coming out your ears!), and never ever rude. I just wish they would talk a little slower, so I could hear all the words and not just bits and pieces. :wink:

I dont disagree with any of your points, I wouldnt have posted it if I expected everybody to agree whether this was right or wrong.
I was really wanting to share what happened to push Dave so far as to act like this, which believe me was totally out of charachter.
There was a lot more to the conversations than I stated above, Dave did say he would be willing to wait all day if it meant seeing a Doctor when he was on the phone, but the receptionist was so unhelpful in his manner and unproffesional and also rude. Ive no doubt this contributed to the way Dave handled it.
I also think I contributed to it, as its normally me who does all this sort of stuff…. leave it to the bloke and this is what happens lol!!
Billy was prescribed penicilin for his ear infection. I understand what you are saying Bat about the cold virus being untreatable, but an ear infection must be treated. Im deaf in one ear due to having so many ear infections that resulted in a growth being removed when I was younger so I do know what I am talking about. Calpol alone will not get rid of an ear infection, medical intervention is needed asap.
PB, Im very aware of NHS direct and do have their number on my mobile, but Im sure they would have said that we would need to see our GP, so I didnt call them, but thanks for the reminder. :wink:
There were two people before Dave to see the GP, the rest of the patients (5) were either there to see the Nurse or the other GP. Dave spoke to all the other patients whilst waiting (he knew most of them anyway) and even apologised to a few for causing a scene, and all sympathised and also shared with him his feelings over this particular receptionist and the lack of proffesionalism/people skills.
I told Dave what has been said on here and his response was well, if the receptionist had been a bit more understanding none of it would have happened and I believe that to be true.
I cant condone what he did, and I cannot say it was right, but of coure you must understand I have to stand by my man, and at the end of the day he got Billy what he needed (although a bit unethical in the way he did),and he is now on the mend after missing so much school due to this awful virus which seems to be hitting so many this year.
It was a real chance to play some players from the lower divisons who would really give their hind teeth to play.
People we have never heard of (apart from those that dont watch Jeff on saturday), but for those that do we hear the same players names come up week after week.
Take a chance. Get Stuart Pearce in and send Mclaren to the under 21’s!
We need somebody with a good eye on the lower divisions instead of watching Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal/Borough every week!!!!
