24 January, 2007 at 10:59 pm #257587There are wars going on now that nobody cares about. I read yesterday about a soldier being killed, he was an 18 year old lad.
I read about the dramatic rescue mission where soldiers had to cling onto the outside of a helicopter to rescue a downed soldier so his family can at least lay him to rest.
If people dont give a toss about whats going on now they aren’t going to be overexcited about what happened in the last century.
Ive read tons of stuff about ww2, fiction and non fiction and its scary stuff. Shame its not taught in schools anymore. The history kids learn now is rubbish.
So, I blame education, there you go!
