Another favourite of mine Michael Sowa, but I can only find post cards.
29 November, 2009 at 4:47 pm #424654I have a few originals on my walls, but they’re so expensive, I don’t have many but I’d love to build up a portfolio of them! Being an anatomist I have ‘Proportions of Man’ in my loo!
I have an actual shipment label for the an Apollo lunar module framed and on my music room wall of which I’m very proud.

29 November, 2009 at 4:34 pm #423717He is a hacker because he ‘hacked’ into the US computer system without permission.
What needs to be determined was his motivation and only then can an appropriate sentence be administered. If his intent was to cause trouble and inadvertently put secrets and hence people’s live at risk, then the I feel he should be dealt with by the Americans and with the full force of their laws as they deem appropriate. If it can be established that his motives were trivial then a more appropriate sentence would be to make him help the US government close the loop holes in their computer system to their satisfaction. They may wish to lock him up while he’s there however. Perhaps he should have his Internet access restricted for a length of time too-put him on dial-up!
So I’d order a full psychiatric report on him, if his condition may account for his behaviour etc (he is still culpable however, just as a serial killer may be ‘insane’ but is still responsible for his crimes). I’d also ask for information on the possible treatment he may received in the USA if he were extradited as the USA do seem to violate the human rights when they deem it appropriate.

Ok for you supersticious folks out there . . who can tell me what it’s supposed to mean when the palms of your hands itch :?
Its like the Internet and Google were never invented
27 November, 2009 at 9:01 pm #424797I worked in a ‘care of the elderly’ hospital for a short time. The nurses used to ask the relatives to bring in photos of when their loved ones were young or engaged in fun activities and place them on their bedside cabinets. I made everyone treat them with respect and love when you saw them with friends, lovers, posing with new cars, on holiday or in uniform during the war…
27 November, 2009 at 8:57 pm #424470minim, you have explained it so lucidly. Thanks, I think I understand now.

23 November, 2009 at 1:56 pm #424487I didn’t hate it, but I didn’t like it. I’d’ve rather had a chat over a beer with the friend I was with. She liked it.
Did these same friends also like Harry Potter by any chance? Are they all women? Can you send me photos and their phone numbers
Three more! How is Emo-boy going to continue looking so drippy and ill? How much more mileage is he going to get from half-closing his eyes to convey grief and sorrow,, fear, happiness, lust, melancholy….
I suppose its a context thing. The last films I saw was ‘An Education’ which was brilliant and ‘When the Last Sword is Drawn’ the last hour of which I cried my eyes out (like the lad watching Romeo and Juliet in New Moon!), so my expectations were high for whatever I saw next. New Moon was a Hollywood multi-appeal film with all the connotations that holds, so it didn’t thrill me.
