I’d like to think of it as debating.

City urged to act on urban foxes menace
Calls to consider cull or capture amid spate of attacks
COUNCIL chiefs have been urged to investigate fox control methods after it emerged dozens of pets across the Capital have been attacked.
The Evening News has been flooded with calls from distraught animal lovers whose pets have been set upon by the predators. So far, readers have reported that 11 rabbits, ten cats, three guinea pigs and a peacock have been killed by urban foxes, while a dog, four cats and a tortoise have been attacked.
Other householders have spotted the animals causing mess and destruction in their gardens.
One woman said she phoned the council after she was trapped in her house by three foxes snarling at her door.
Yvonne Dunn, 30, from Restalrig, said she believed the animals smelt her three-year-old child inside the house.
“Our area is infested, they’re a real pest,” she said.
Nine-year-old Mary Erskine’s pupil Rachel Mi had her rabbit, Peter, taken by a fox last week.
She said: “My gran was going to feed him, but when she got there, he wasn’t in the cage.
“The cage was locked, but the netting had been torn off and there was fur all over the ground.”
Rachel, who lives on Craigleith Avenue North, said the fox had made a return visit to Peter’s cage after the rabbit was taken.
“We saw it sniffing around where Peter’s cage used to be a couple of days ago,” she said.
And Nicola Fyne, who lives on Easter Road, said she and her father had lost four rabbits and two guinea pigs to foxes.
for example
You’ve done it now.
Steam’ll be coming out of pete’s ears. :D30 March, 2008 at 5:41 pm #320923@prettypink wrote:

No he didn’t. :D
The world is full of do-gooders pete.
but there are plenty who support hunting with dogs .
So will you be out there with your placard when the ban is lifted.
I think we both know the answer to that question don’t we??
That’s right.
You’ll be at home letting someone else do it.
Like I said, you don’t really care that much about foxes.30 March, 2008 at 5:07 pm #320907@pete wrote:
We keep animals to eat (were allowed to it says so in the bible) now i’d argue those animals should be reared kept and slaughtered humanely and if that costs me more money then so be it If everyone of us turned veggie there’d be no pigs, beef catlle or sheep reared as food
No dogs cant be bloody executed ive already said that.
You started a thread saying bring back fox hunting you’re not giving any valid reasons why.
They hunt mainly voles rabbits etc they do not slaughter lambs wholesale and if the cheapskate farmers spent more on security (hell theyd pass it on to the consumer anyway) then they wouldnt decimate chicken runs either)
Because something is traditional doesnt mean it’s okPete you’re a hypocrite and your argument reflects that.
I want hunting to be brought back – and it will be brought back – because foxes are a menace. Why do you think we had fox-hunting in the first place ffs?
I’m not a tory or labour but i have an opinion on the subject just as you do.
And you haven’t sawyed my opinion one iota mostly because your argument centre on you more than the fckn fox.
Being a do-gooder is okay but your halo keeps slipping doesn’t it?
It’s okay that other animals die as long as it’s not a fox!!30 March, 2008 at 4:57 pm #320901@pete wrote:

shoot me just dont boil me in oil firsthmm…have you ever seen a lamb being slaughtered. No you haven’t or you wouldn’t have posted such a ridiculous comment.
a lamb being slauthered by man that is yeah but slaughtering a fox is ok …youre an idiot
and you’re a card-carrying socialist who doesn’t want anybody having a different opinion to you.
What a sad world it would be if we were all like you!30 March, 2008 at 4:53 pm #320899pete, why do you think one species of animal is more important than another?
I really don’t understand where you’re coming from so please puit your clipboard down for one minute and ezplain it to me.Lambs and dogs can be executed (for want of a better word) but foxes can’t?? :-k

poor old pete. don’t tell him about santa ffs.
you just dont get it at all do ya
The trouble with you pete is that you’re the one who doesn’t get it.
You’re not bothered about foxes at all.
This ais all about you feeling good about yourselfand feeling ‘needed’ by society.
The truth is society doesn’t need you.
It doesn’t need anyone such as you who has such politcally correct views.
You’re a tree hugger, a woolly jumper wearing, bearded clip board owner of a person.
You don’t argue the case for foxes .. you’re a spoiler.
A spoiler who can’t see further than the ned of his nose.
What do you say about the hundreds of dogs who are destroyed by vets each week because they are unwanted by their owners??
You say f*ck all!!
What do you say about the slaughter of lambs who are taken away from their mothers each day just so that you can have a nice sunday lunch??
Again, you say f*ck all!
Foxes are worth fighting for are they?
Why would that be??
You are just as brainwashed as the average placard waving numpty who thinks he can contribute to this world..but you’re just led along with the crowd.
You’re not a humanitarian. Just a follower of fashion.
That is the rea ltruth of the matter. It would be better if you argued with the points made rather than the person making them. I thought this debate was going rather well without the usual mud slinging.
I spose somebody had to do it though
Just expressing a point of view.
If you were impartial (which you’re not) I would accept your criticism.
However, the fact of the matter is that neither you or pete care about foxes.
You just care about your own sensibilities.
Go save a dog from being destroyed.
Oh hang on there’s no kudos to be won there is there?
Not everyone is going to share your views luv so get used to it. -
