  • Couldn’t agree more Becky- horses for courses..what suits one won’t suit another

It is amusing though when I think of leaving school in 1985, holidays abroad without the parents, drinking (legally), etc etc n the missus was still in primary school

When I heard the sprinklers whisper
Shimmer in the haze of summer lawns
Then I heard the children singing
They were running through the rainbows
They were singing a song for you
Well it seemed to be a song for you

Not for one minute should it be, any colour, any skin- you can advise where characteristics may be applicable (i.e. social worker in a chinese community, able to speak Mandarin essential, will probably exclude almost all non chinese), make preferences etc but to BAR someone is…[Read more]

The “when in Rome” brigade fail to recognise that when we Brits are abroad, we have absolutely no respect for the country we are in, the local customs or the people. Yet expect “foreigners” to respect this country when they’re here. Hypocrisy of the highest order.
