So you’d rather be a poor national team with an English manager than a successful national team with a foreign manager?
For me, it makes no difference- the idea that we MUST HAVE an English manger is short sighted. England cricket team won the Ashes with a Zimbabwean manager, you think I care Duncan Fletcher isn’t English?

i got lent the album about a month or 2 ago, at first i hardly listened to it, then it grew on me, it is defintly one that grows, on the album i got, its got a tracked called choo choo on it, but this is not on the release i don’t think?

How did you get the album a month ago!! Have you got “contacts” :lol:
It’s very northern, very gritty, very rough edged and very cocky in places- everything a good album should be!
It’s a bit like Tony Blair- gonna stay until the next election.
I know why the FA have done it, but personally I think the media will now push for him to go before June which would be a travesty in my opinion
I’m on 4th play so far- not as instant as I was expecting (the 2 singles have grabbed me straight off) but still a strong, innovative debut- “from the ritz to rubble” is going round in me head n they’re British which makes is cool too

Loosing to minows of around the 100th in the world is failure, but i take your point, qualifying is the be all.
Hes brought disgrace on our nation. He is an ambassordor to the English people. We pay him vast sums of money to behave decent, and he failed miserably.
When freddy shepard (newcastle chaiman) did similar, he was booed by newcastle fans, he then had to appologise like a decent man should.
The F.A, have carte blanche to sack this expensive traitor.
Sven has done what he was paid to do and that’s ensure England qualify however I do agree his actions off pitch and his private life have been less than discreet and his judgement has not always been a good one. I agree an apology or explanation would have been appropriate and whether “stung” or not, discussing players and his future intentions whilst still under contract was damaging to his reputation

I assumed Sven was going anyway after the World Cup- there is little viable English alternative- Allardyce may squeeze it over Curbishley perhaps? But are they world class managers- maybe not?
Our press are no worse in criticism than much of the European or World sports media when looking at their own national managers- however our press do make, what should be one of the best jobs in world football, look like a poisoned chalice.
