the problem is that whilst the scottish national party, and the welsh [however its spelt] national party, are allowed to be just that. a nationalist party. we in england are all classed as racists because we arent allowed a nationalistic viewpoint. we arent allowed to say that we arent happy with being swamped in foreign nationals. [mind you i do like to see….. shut up you old slapper] ha ha. im heart sick of being told i cant have a vote if i vote for the nationalist party for england. and why ? because the rekigious fekkers have their fingers in the politics pie. and only they and their leftie toads are allowed to foist their opinions on us, the people who have to work 6 days a week to keep up with the jonses, while the dss scroungers and the asian tsunami are fed and kept at our expense. did yopu lot know that the average councul tax in england wil have to rise at the rate of 4.5 percent per year just to cover the pensions of retired government pen pushers ? and in ten years time it will be worse still ? better get voting for the ??????? party eh ? i know the one that has my interests at heart. and at athe end of the day thats what its all about. which party has you at heart. cos the community has gone to hell in a burkah and a council van.The SNP and Plaid Cymru embrace all cultures, creeds and races and recognise them as Scottish or Welsh
The BNP (or should that be ENP) only recognise those who are white and English- it may indeed be a nationalistic party but please dont compare them with the Scots n Welsh cos there is no comparison
Yep, the expansion of Empire, the scramble for Africa…most Europeans acted in the same way, though us Brits probably had a more reserved nature (comparatively speaking) that most other European countries (King Leopold’s rape of the Congo and its people for one).
I know it was the way of the world at the time and all conquerors over the centuries have often treated the losing subjects as chattle but it still makes unpleasant reading today

Completely agree with Minim but add that most cultures also evolve to incorporate something of the immigration- whether it be language, food, music, fashion, etc
Wouldn’t call the virtual wiping out of an entire indigenous race a “mistake” though- Robert Hughes “The Fatal Shore” is still the best book for me on those first years in “Australia”

When yu’ve become British n speak the language and understand how we do things, then feel free to argue that some of it is really cr/ap..but it’s MY crap you’re talking about cos its MY country but when you’ve become British (or English..whateva) remember it’s YOUR country too n have pride in what that means including the cr/ap
