The good old ignorant days when you could be racist and not even know you were being racist because looking down on certain people for not being supremacist white and stereotyping them was acceptable. We don’t like slavery anymore not because we are trying to be Politically Correct. Slavery and the view that white people could physically and sexually abuse black people and laugh at them for how they looked and how stupid they were- helped create the image of the Gollywog. It appears that change and enlightenment can take a very long time in some cases. To those saying “bring it back” and bring back hanging, crucifixions, and drowning ‘witches’. Also whilst you’re at it, get those lazy 5 year old kids back to working an 80 hour week like they did in Charles Dickens days. Oooo…those were the good old days.

Just back from an amazing 5 nights in Krakow and zakopane. We had snow and lots of it!
One thing about The Beatles is their usage of innovative chords. Their music is very complex. Many people don’t realize that Beatles music is studied extensively by musicologists from around the world. John Lennon learned to play on a banjo first. The Beatles changed the face of popular music and song writing in a very short space of time, which future musicians benefitted from. Students study their music as part of their GCSE exams, I think its fantastic that young people can study their ground breaking and influential Sgt. Pepper album, which changed recording techniques forever. Many people don’t realize that Beatles music is studied extensively by students all over the world
One Direction fulfil a great many boy band requirements (looks, soppy lyrics, tune-grasp, fame-lust) . I’m sure they would like to be like the Beatles lol that’s not gonna happen. Many of their songs don’t make sense, all of them about a girl, which I personally think is stupid, they even copied the Beatles Abbey road cover. They also can’t write their own songs, the worse fact about one direction is they steal other peoples songs , their songs are cheesy and absolutely have no substance at all. And in my opinion I think they are a rip off band of the Back street boys. And one of them has a head of hair like a dirty old mop. At least the Beatles were clean cut and fans wanted to dress like them.
I agree with John Lennon, the Beatles are better than Jesus Christ and One Direction!
