novotel or tulip in are probably the best ones to go for in the city centre.. tulip in is £75 for a family room that sleeps 4 (per night).. maybe the girls can all share that one so for 2 nights that would be £150, then divide it by 4, its under £40 each for a 2 night stay

and the two guys get a twin room..

or you could just go for a b & b in jesmond, you will probably get a twin room or a double for £30 a night..

i have enquied about a hoilday cottage, but its a long shot.. as they only normaly let people have them on a tarrif per week.. it was £300 for a week, but i emailed them anyway, asking the question about just weekends.. you never know, its 10 mins drive from newcastle, so probably £20 taxi back in at night..

so ok, we have a definite list now, if i can find a b & b with a big family room.. or even a hotel posh suite, i’ll let you all know…. i got a friend who has a best mate who works in a hotel chain who might be able to help us out

there is about 10 or so b & bs in jesmond, they are what you expect, nothing fancy, but on suite (which is importent) last one i went too was really friendly.. with a night porta who was a top bloke, he kept the bar open all night, stopped drinking about 7am in the morning

ok, everyone comfirm they are happy staying in jesmond, then what i’ll do, is get final numbers, and give a b & b a call this week from work and book all the rooms we need ourself

galaxy and GB live in newcastle, so they won’t need rooms
