Almost as funny as Justin Lee Collins.
Thanks.

As for “sleeps”, I didn’t realise that was trendy
I don’t think it is trendy, but I know somebody who keeps using it on facebook. Apparently it’s 77 sleeps till Christmas. All I did was ask her how many ‘sleeps’ till Christmas 2025 and she unfriended me.

It wasn’t that “anything went in them days” it was that people were very naive, and you could lose your job very easily on someone’s whim. We didn’t have all the employment laws that we have now, and so people within the BBC who knew what was happening wouldn’t have dared to say anything. This would have prevented the police from getting enough evidence. The children themselves would have been frightened, and again had no understanding of how to deal with the situation.
The idea that people thought this behaviour was the norm is incorrect, the opposite was true if anything, nobody would have thought that someone of his ilk would have done what he so sadly did. People were more innocent and less cynical.

I’m not ‘bashing’ anyone. The boards are for opinions and I like to express mine. Did I get ‘bashed’? I don’t think so. I think I won the EU debate hands down.
Oh and another thing. Will you stop typing this > …… between words? It is so annoying.
7 October, 2012 at 1:54 pm #512479What a completely pointless thread this is.

No worries Panda..was simply an explanation why I think the word is offensive, not everyone will think it is
Although Terry might think I am being PC … maybe he would like to be “normal” and call me by that name in future :lol:Call you by what name?

I can never understand poli’s posts. Who else but poli would use 124 words and 99 commas in one sentence? So, if you and mims want to hug her in that perfunctory way that you do, then carry on.
