I was carrying on from what she said not what you said.

^^^ what she said, and also if a dog gets an infection or has a tumour thats not detectable then the cute cuddly family pet can suddenly turn. Plenty of stories out there that say how family pets suddenly attack because of something thats gone undetected. Even family pets that have no track record can suddenly turn on a small child.

 Well you said dogs hunted by instinct, the reason they don’t anymore is because dogs arent allowed to roam are they.

Get yourself up to Benwell , Scotswood road areas of Newcastle – then you will see if dogs aren’t roaming free in packs

 Well you said dogs hunted by instinct, the reason they don’t anymore is because dogs arent allowed to roam are they. Instinct it maybe, but the whole point seems to have been lost somehow. All jo asked was for opinions on fox hunting, i think most people hate the idea of an animal being hunted on horseback, and by dogs. But I’m sure its got to do with who hunts them as well. It’s not just *hooray henry* types that joined in hunts these days anyway.

 And there was I thinking we were civilised, hey lets sack all the dog wardens and let stray dogs hunt in packs again like they used to and attack anyone and anything they need to so that they don’t go hungry. :D

Those due to be evacuated were called by phone and asked to gather at a meeting point where Lebanese officials would check their passports.

They were then taken by bus to the ship for a 10-hour journey to Cyprus. Journalists were asked not to identify the meeting point because the embassy was worried that large numbers of people ineligible for the evacuation might start gathering there.

After landing in Cyprus, Britons will be expected to make their own arrangements for travel to Britain or elsewhere at their own expense, but consular officials will be on hand to provide advice.

Unlike the US, the British government is not charging its citizens for the evacuation. Americans in Beirut are complaining that they have been asked to sign forms agreeing in advance to pay unspecified sums to cover the cost of their evacuation. Some said they had been told they would not be allowed to use their passports again until they paid.

The difference between a lion chasing its prey and catching it, is that a Lion has to do that to survive. A hunting dog does not have to chase a fox and rip it to pieces in order to survive. The dog is trained, the only animal acting on pure instinct is the Lion. I don’t like the damage foxes do either but in the 21st century you would have thought someone could come up with a far better solution don’t you?!!

Emma posted a case that has appeared on TV. The information regarding the situation wasn’t her information. All she did was copy and paste and provide links from numerous other sources. All of which tell the same story. Whatever else Emma said, is Emma being Emma. On the otherhand you seem to know an awful lot about the post Mr A but have not yet provided any links where it clearly says this post was for a work placement etc etc, I can’t make an un-biased judgement on this when I can’t see the real facts as you call them. Provide them and I may change my stance on this.

Against fox-hunting, easier methods of controlling them.

The museum said that applications for the £9,000-a-year post were only open to those of African, Afro-Caribbean, Asian or Chinese descent. As the job is a training job it is legal to bar applicants from certain ethnic backgrounds to encourage applicants from under-represented ethnic groups.

Regardless of the job description, whether it was a placement or not, I agree with Emma!! If he wasn’t a MA student then fine, he wouldnt be applicable for the post. Thats fair and reasonable, but to be barred because of the colour of his skin? You think thats acceptable?
