agree, I tend to post stuff I’ve liked for years and want to share my enthusiasms with others. What the fook else am I going to share ? I also like seeing what others like and often look into things posted here.
For instance the classical music thread is something that fascinates me and I want to know more than I do.
Cymorrills’s film thread is another one but I feel on safer ground there.
But it’s a fair point, some seem to post anything and a degree of self-editing would help.
