ive just re read these posts after a week or so. well written emma i totally agree with a lot of it. but i have no real problem with cctv i have recently started a job dealing directly with the public. and cash handling, its a scary job nowadays, and a lot of that is because of our open door policy. the vast majority of mugging robberies and thefts done in my home town are now done by albanians, cosovan jypsies, and and our very own drug scum. i catch people with forged documents and cloned travel tickets daily. the vast majority of them claim they speak no english. yet they were chatting yorkshire while we were checking their documents and tickets. the town is becoming a no go area for the elderly, they are genuineley worried to walk the streets. when you mention the cctv cameras they say the same thing all the time ” thats no good when your being stabbed to death is it ? and i can understand why they feel so intimidated. but the cameras are doing real good work here, and the police and town centre shops are working together to help stop it. the cameras are jointly paid for by the companies and the council.

he actually walked into his local pub and ordered a pint and a double whisky, then turned to his friend and said ” id better sup this fast ive just butchered me kids” and thats word for word. directly from the man he told. hes not mentally imballanced hes a fat disgusting bully who couldnt take the fact that his wife had, had enough of the weekly beatings and the threats if she dared to leave him. hes no better than an enormous toddler stamping his feet and smashing his toys so no one else gets to play. i hate him with a passion. i feel utterly disgusted with myself for ever allowing him to be a friend of mine. and i also feel that val has been betrayed by all of us for knowing what he was doing and not doing enough to stop him. [not that we could have done much more] but i hope he gets what he deserves.

[as a lot of em do] and shes having a ding dong with another young lass who is dressed head to toe in designer gear and expensive accessories, you can bet yer ass that the mini skirted one is treated like a criminal and the better off one is given every courtesy. even tho they both behave like twonks. stereotyping and pidgeonholing is very much alive and well in the force, and in general innit? i know cos im guilty of it myself as well. :roll: :wink:

the government have only paid for the info so they can bury the fact that they all have secret accounts there.. im sure if this man had been selling info on illegal immigrants they wouldnt have paid him a brass cent. ministers and all wealthy government officials spend many thousands of pounds ayear employing tax accountants to fiddle their accounts so they pay very little or no tax at all, while us working and middle classes keep the rest with our taxes. one rule for them and lots of em for us suckers.
