it would seem that it is true, and you are right it is sick. this poor tot will have to live her entire life being called the madelaine lookalike. her parents should hang their heads in shame for this. if they were using the child to do a reconstruction to help the case, then yes , there’s a reason. but why for entertainment ? thats just plain wrong.
and i for one think anyone who pays to see a film about this poor child needs their bumps felt.11 January, 2008 at 4:57 pm #302978you realy are a moron arent you ?
firstly my husband , myself and both of my children work for a living.do you ?
we all pay tax and national insurance.do you ?
we, as a family claim no benefits of any kind from the state.do you ?
i have never been on the pill and have never had an accidental pregnancy.have you or your partner [if you have one ?]
my husband and myself have never had and will never have any excuse for you or anyone else to pay for our personal needs. can you say the same ?
we own our own home outrite and have no debt apart from a small car loan. do you ? or do you sponge for your rent or mortgage. ?
we have never been through the debtors courts.have you ?
we have never had to claim dss or long term sick pay.have/do you ?
i took time out of my career to have my children. neither you nor anyone else paid for that privelage.
i took time out to raise my children until school age. so no one else paid for their care or up bringing.
i and my husband paid for our childrens education through the nose out of our pay packets. did you ?
you obviously have a problem with people who are more fortunate than you, [or at the worst you are jealous as hell.]
i have not once tried to tell you or anyone else how or why to change your life. yet you try to tell me YOU have paid for me and my family, which is plain bollox.
at no point in any of my posts did i tell you or anyone else how to live or how to eat. i said quite clearly, the way we choose to live is a personal choice.
at no point did i infer that you were doing anythin wrong.
at no point did i ask for your personal and nasty comments.
you have continually said that my lifestyle is paid for by others somehow ? [what part of fu*k you dont you understand you half witted illiterate moron.]
if you want to get personal answer the questions above. but i doubt you will, because i get the distinct impression you are a fat lazy dss scrounger with no morals,no intelligence and no one to keep your pathetic little ego going.
i suggest you go back and re-read ALL the posts made. then sit down for a little while and then come back and admit, that not only are you very wrong, in your assumption that i am a sponger like you. but you are a complete and utter numpty. there is no mud you can sling at me my friend. because, i have always worked i have always paid my way, and i always will.
and in 3 years time, when i retire ten years early because i can afford to. YOU will still be sat on your fat arse scrounging off the state and blaming the government or anyone else for the predicament you will be in. get over it ! you lost the argument.
and if your still feeling pedantic please feel free to tell me, exactly when or where you or anyone else have paid for, or do pay for,my lifestyle choices. idiot.11 January, 2008 at 1:26 pm #303226get yer head round this one d.o.a if you can read so much at once without your carer that is.
11 January, 2008 at 1:21 pm #302976where did i say i expect ANYONE else to pay for my lifestyle ? i didnt and i dont. i go to work as does my husband, son and daughter. we choose to pay more and eat healthy, since when was this a crime you airhead.
as for it being all about me and mine.. do i sit on my ar8e and expect you or anyone else to pay for it ? no
do i tell you where to shop or what to eat ? no
did i say anywhere that i expect anyone else to live the way i choose to. no
simple facts.
if you sit on your ar8e and eat fatty rubbish and do no exercise you will get fat,and be generally unhealthy.
if you feed your children the same rubbish you are condemning them to the same idle self inflicted illnesses you will get.
if you are poor i suggest cutting your cloth to fit your needs. [an old but true saying]but dont expect me to pay taxes to feed and care for fat idle wasters who havent got the gorm to look at what theyare shoving into their fat faces until they cant get off the sofa that i have paid taxes for them to sit on.
people who expect others to keep them, should bloody well keep their traps shut when it comes to telling us who work, to keep them on their fat ar8es, that we are wrong somehow, for working to pay for a better, healthier lifestyle. or go and get a job and do it themselves.11 January, 2008 at 10:29 am #302974DOA.
firstly my head isnt up my ars* i simply choose to not eat factory farmed meat, you obviously do, and thats your choice.
i dont eat factory farmed for these reasons.
1 pork. injected twice weekly with saline solution to give flesh a paler colour., and give the illusion to the buyer that they are buying good meat.
fed pellet food with no natural antibiotics so they have antibiotic injections instead to stop them being covered in boils and stop the skin rotting.
sows are kept in crates where they cannot move in case they kill piglets and thus loss of profit for the supermarket trade.
2 chickens. forced on by being fed growth hormones for the first three weeks.
kept in filthy conditions where thousands of birds die daily of various diseases as has been shown on tv lateley. just so the public can buy two for a fiver.
i choose to buy local produce both meat and veg. i choose this because i give a damn what gfuel goes into my engine simply put. neither me nor any of my family are fat or in bad health because we eat well. if anyone chooses to stuff their faces with burgers made from mechanically reclaimed meat then they can live with the consequences. poor health and gross obesity. still on the rise and costing the n.h.s the equivalent to a years pay each.
if someone choose to feed their children such meat they can expect their children to be hyperactive, overweight and have poor consentration, and short attention spans.
if we were all vegetarian we could reclaim thousands of hectares of land that at present is being used to grow rape seed oil to claim e.u tax relief and get e.u handouts for not growing veg, as this would drive down the price of veg and the supermarkets would make less profits.
we could stop meat and veg and dairy produce being trucked across europe and back again before it reaches the supermarkets so the supermarkets can claim tax relief on diesel and claim eu cash for doing this.
that i can afford to pay a bit more for my food, is no ones business realy exept for the fact that i went to school, and when i left school i went to work and have continued to do so for the last 30 years.
if people who dont want to work want to eat meat, then they can buy cheap meat its their choice. i choose not to.
as for being wishy washy and p.c , you obviously have me mixed up with someone who gives a sh*t
i would not dream of telling anyone else what to eat or how to shop everyone has the choice. but if you sit on your backside all day watching tv, with a can of beer in one hand and a fag in the other then you wont be able to afford the food i buy, again its a choice.
as for the original question. no i dont think we do need factory farming. but as long as we have half the nation on dss benefits and sick pay we will keep them.
one further point d.o.a if half the nation is drowning in debt it is their ownfault for having to have the latest and most expensive stuff and not wanting to work to pay for it. if you cant buy it by saving up for it [houses and transport aside] you shouldnt get loans and credit to pay for it.
we all have to have somewhere to live and most of us need a car for work. that doesnt mean you have to drive a dirty great 4×4 or a bmw. but if you want this you pay for it.10 January, 2008 at 11:44 pm #302023@sharongooner wrote:

10 January, 2008 at 11:41 pm #302972supermarkets are directly to blame for the terrible conditions that factory farming allows. any animal that isnt perfect is killed. and every animal that isnt killed along the way is pumped full of saline and antibiotics so the meat looks nice on the shelf for us, the buyers. its hard for any family to be able to afford a chicken at 8 quid when they can but 2 for a fiver. but thats the price you pay for some peace of mind. some may say that having a sheite life is ok. cos then the animal will get relief from death. [anita gofra] for instance.but i disagree. i would far rather eat a well reared beast than an an animal who has never seen daylight. but as i say each to his own.
vegitarianism is a big choice to make, but personally id rather be a veggie than eat an animal that has been reared in a factory. no one should feel guilty for what they eat, and if they do ? there is a decision to be made. to eat flesh or to not eat flesh. cos that is what it is. plain and simple flesh.10 January, 2008 at 9:52 pm #302021@sharongooner wrote:
