while i admire your belief in the good work this man has without a doubt, achieved we have to remember he was at the end of the day a terrorist just like gerry adams and co. although we dont get told this very often. would we all feel the same if the government built a statue of gerry adams ? i think not.

Now, lets suppose women didnt choose to pretty much dominate the arena of child rearing, lets suppose career women didnt choose to still fight for the kids even when their ex was the main carer for them, lets suppose women relinquished some of the responsibility for kids to their partners

Then you wouldnt have such a clear division of value to an employer, because then men would be just as likely to present less value over time because they would be just as likely to be restricted by their parental responsibilities (the Mcanns would obviously not be bound by that lol)

But you still have the inconvenience and financial impact of the pregnancy itself which would mean that even in a world of equal parenting opportunity and equal custody women would never ever be totally “equal” in terms of potential worth to an employer as a man unless they are sterile and dont want any kids but even IF that is the case with a woman its considered sexist to ask if its the case so they have to be treated as a potential breeder has to be in order to have ACTUAL fairness in a pay structure

i actually agree with a lot of that but how many men do you know who have been asked in an interview if they ever plan to get married and have children ?
the question should be asked to both male and female, and the men should take on 50 50 care of the children and if they cant afford that, the lesser wage earne needs a pay rise… simple womens logic… :lol:

so glad to hear youre home safe n well it must have been a realy scary situation for you.
we watched the news in the pub at weekend and it was awful to see the cars where the mother and her children were burned to death my heart goes out to their families, ive heard that some people are blaming property developers who want to turn massive areas into complexes and pubs etc to capitalise on the holiday buy business, do you think there is any truth in this ? ive never been there personally so i dont have a clue.

im a confirmed athiest personally but my grandfather was a staunch catholic and he was determined we would be brought up with no religious interference, he always said catholisism is built on fear and guilt. but i still always say if you pray to god when your in fear of losing a loved one, who cares which god it is if it gives you hope. so i reckon god is in your heart not in a church, mosque, temple etc. you dont have to allie yourself and therefore be pidgeonholed by anyone..

guns and knives are banned but ive not even seen a copper on foot here in the last 5 years so what are the chances of anyone being arested. you let your car run out of tax and the riot squad is kicking your door in 7 days later threatening fines prison a criminal record etc, as they do with tv lisence dodgers. but be a burglar car thief mugger or dealer and your home free.
7 months ago i emailed my local force with names adresses times descriptions and car numbers of 4 drug dealers that operate in our village. were still waiting for an arrest. im not holding my breath either. yet there was 3 police cars in the village guarding the actors etc when they did an episode of hemmeroid farm here in our village. and thats the score they will play rent a cop for security, but they dont give a toss unless theyre being paid overtime…
whatever happened to the police being public servants.
oh yes thats it they moved into the farmhouse with the polititions didnt they ???
