Actually Su, if you said it slowly and softly, you could make it sound quite dirty . . . . .

    Gi’s yer number, I’m on me tea break . . . . .

I’m rather offended by the implication that a mere tea break would be time enough indeed to enjoy a conversation with me. Hmm …

I think enjoyment would kick in within the span of a tea break!

A good writer is like a good taxi driver in that he’ll get you from A to B as smoothly as possible without emergency braking and going off on an inappropriate route. I just think Wordsworth should apply for a provisional licence before he starts taking passengers on a ride.

Terry, I feel slightly flattered by your attention. I am a bit disappointed that you didn’t get what I said as it was a heartfelt answer to the question “Are you British?” especially in comparison to being English.

I don’t claim to be a good writer by any standards, I post or chat in JC for fun and friendship and to take part, not compete. I’m sorry to be the cause of such negativity.

As to getting anyone from A to B, it appears to have been more of a bicycle ride with ruby on the crossbar. No tax, no test, no insurance, no Knowledge, no registration. We took the scenic route and enjoyed it. Taxi drivers hate us, of course.

I wonder who would post if everyone had to pass a JC Knowledge test first? Who would get insurance? How would PC’s be deemed suitable for carrying passengers . . . . maybe that’s for another thread . . . .

Actually I had bongos, but put them in room 101

I have a tabla but it’s not going with your bongos no way!!

glad to hear it, really love that “duuwuum” sound the players get when they change pitch.

But I understand I’d need skilful hands and fingers to get your tabla to change pitch . . . . .

We seem to speak the same language, but I could do with a translator.

    And yet some say we’re both from Mars . . . . . . .

No we aren’t, we’re in ‘no-where land’!

Have to say though, that my two have been highly educated, one has finished uni, the other is in her second year, and when they text me, or bung something on f/b, it takes me a little while to work out what the hell they are saying!

    (dons po-face)

In theory, it would be quite possible to be from Mars and in ‘no-where land’.

Check out the book “men are from mars, women are from venus” anc
