Now the nicer weather is coming thought it might be an idea for us to promote what is going off locally to us in casea nyone else fancys popping along for a day out

To coincide with and support the Civil War weekend events there will be a Specialist Food Fayre with some 50 stalls in the
historic setting of Newark Market Place. In addition, alongside the food stalls there will be street entertainments, food demonstrations, health promotions and other attractions to suit
all ages. In the adjacent Buttermarket, part of the magnificent Town Hall, will be a local crafts and food fayre. FREE admission.Mayor Hercules Clay began a tradition for an annual service of thanksgiving to be held at Newark Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene This year’s service, starting at 11.15am, Sunday March 12, will see re-enactors provide a colourful guard of honour for attending dignitaries.To mark this anniversary, Colonel Robert Overton’s Regiment will stage a day of drill and living history at the National Civil War Centre – Newark Museum and musket fire at Newark Castle
The history of Kelham Hall & Country Park
A rich history as the ancestral home of the Manners-Sutton family, along with its use as a theological college for an Anglican Order of Monks, and the distinct design features of renowned architect Sir George Gilbert Scott make Kelham Hall a fascinating place to discover.http://sconceanddevonpark.co.uk/history-of-the-park/
The present Kelham Hall is the third building to have stood on the site with two former halls having been damaged significantly by fire (one in the early eighteenth century and a second in 1857). All three halls were built for the Manners Sutton family, whose links with Kelham and Averham date back to the 12th century. Between 1903 and 1974 Kelham Hall was used as a training college by the Society of the Sacred Mission in preparation for missionary work. The hall and grounds however were requisitioned by the army during the two world wars although these were the only interruptions. The most significant legacy left by the monks is the incredible domed chapel, which today is a year-round venue for weddings and events and an exquisite addition to the property. There are other traces of the monks’ presence visible today, including their graveyard at St. Wilfred’s church on the estate. For those interested in architecture, Kelham Hall provides a wealth of material, including a striking similarity in parts of the building to the St. Pancras hotel, London – both master works of Sir George Gilbert Scott.

The International Mersey River Festival is a celebration of Liverpool’s wonderful and historic waterfront in a completely free three day extravaganza of family fun, amazing music and entertainment along the iconic River Mersey.
The festival sees the visit of everything from narrow boats and tall ships, to polo tournaments, jet skiing demonstrations, have-a-go water sports sessions and thrillingly heart-stopping air displays.

Very nice video Angel, those country houses look nice for tea and scones. I have been there before ages ago. It’s nicer than Blackpool :) Although Sophia could show me her liverpool anytime :)

yes the video is very good we enjoyed making it
We have quite a few quaint little tea rooms, cafes resturants we have lovely countryside views walks fishing spots also
we have historical house,s castles, churches, and plenty of paces to explore
Air museum, civial war museum, old work house, mills locks etc
i like where i live and enjoy my work premoting it and finding people houses here
