I know I will probably get slated for this thread…but I hope it brings in a discussion
I will admit I am not clued up on these diagnoses and have no one in my family with it so it is hard for me to see kids/adults with the diagnoses on a day to day to get an understanding
Basically I cannot fathom why on earth there are so many kids diagnosed with ADHD and similar!…I mean why? What is going on? All of a sudden every other person you speak to or overhear while out and about will mention a kid or grankid in their family being diagnosed. Is it mums diets….mums smoking weed (which seems so normal now you cannot escape the smell in most places)….pollution?….it does not make sense
Is it true you get extra benefits if your child is diagnosed? if so what do these parents use that extra money for to help the kid? To my ignorance…and I hold my hand up to it….most of us only ever see naughty kids and their parents making excuses for them because of their label…..Look…I also know there are different levels of the diagnoses but lots of people have said its lazy mums with naughty kids who insist on a label to get extra benefits ( there I said it….shoot me!)
And lastly…..is anyone doing any research as to why there is such an increase in the condition?
P.S….please be gentle whilst slating me on here….I am a bit out of practice …and also don’t give much of a fukc and will probably laugh it off
well its a situation where Labels can be applied where certain behaviour is noted. can be due to many things . theres no link yet to chemicals in foods and drinks ( though there is now for cancer – data showing huge increases are in line with increases in fast processed foods and drinks) so you might have simply noted a trend that has yet to be identified. certainly children these days are more selfish and naughty but that is seen as modern upbringing and lack of discipline both in schools and parenting. drugs are rife everywhere of course and calls to legalise it and stop drug dealers fall on deaf ears it seems.
Isnt Capitalism one big benefit to ppl who are wealthy while the rest are told to eat cake Hence why the wealthy fight so hard to keep it going for there advantage.It could be the crap food that’s at macas etc and in suppermarkets
I understand that many kids always had the symptoms of ADHD its just that medical science has now categorised it and didn’t before.
I t can be many reasons, drugs, alcohols, smoking, and so on, but every child should be tested, by the time he reaches the 2nd or 3rd grade. and placed accordling.
