Ummm…if it’s all down to his childhood, why has he only just started shoplifting? Or has he been doing it all his life and only just been caught?

I’d be far more impressed by someone saying yes, I did it, there is no-one to blame except me, regardless of what’s going on in my life I am responsible for my own actions. So few people are prepared to take personal responsibility these days, everyone looks for somewhere else to lay the blame.

I wonder what blame his children will lay at his door in years to come?

Oh well his kids will no doubt become mass murderers, but that will be ok cos it’ll be their dad’s fault!

I think he said he forgot it was there because it was underneath some other shopping, could be wrong though.

Richard Madeley must be quite pee’d off with Worrel Thompson as it brings his indiscretions to the forefronts of people’s minds again :D

I think Richard says he just forgot to pay… apparently he was a bit like Worrall Thompson… he forgot to pay regularly. :D

    Frm The Independent:

    Richard Madeley

Was cleared of theft in 1994 after he first wheeled soap powder and champagne, then a trolleyload of wine and gin out of his local Tesco. Madeley simply forgot to pay.

I suppose it’s feasible if you’ve got your mind on other things, like Judy…
