Yes, I know, before you say it – I AM pulling a hypocritical U-turn.

I know for years I’ve defended them, drugs should be legalized, controlled, regulated etc etc etc.

Bullsh*t – I take it all back. Every statement regarding this issue, I take back.

My main argument for supporting the legalization of drugs was “drugs don’t kill – cut drugs kill, legalize them = pure = safe”. Bullsh*it, I just changed my mind on that too.

Please, if you’re taking legal highs/research chemicals or know anyone playing about with them – STOP.

About 2 weeks ago I took 600mg of AMT (Alpha-Methyltryptamine) like I did once every fortnight, it’s perfectly legal, the compound is not listed in the statute book leaving it unclassed, came from the official lab where it’s manufactured (1Chem ltd), properly packaged etc so it hadn’t been tampered with.

3 days, I felt great, as always. Didn’t wanna eat or sleep as usual, just have a good time and enjoy myself, feel good, all is well etc. Then on the third day something just wasn’t right. There was constant non-stop sweating, dizzy spells, headache, nausea, loss of balance & co-ordination, twitching, involuntary gasping, I did not feel well at all. Went to lay down, literally laid there for almost 2 hours just twitching and gasping before I finally dropped off thinking I’d just over-done the three days a tad and needed a rest, be fine when I wake up.

Woke up around 5 hours later, had to run straight to the toilet, and that was it for a whole week, 8 days to be exact, vomiting, shaking, drifting in & out of consciousness, couldn’t drink, couldn’t eat, the slightest sip of water would make me vomit, so I forced myself to drink more water to avoid dehydration, so it wasn’t a very pleasant week – told my girlfriend & family I had the flu so they wouldn’t get suspicious or worry (as I’d previously told them all I’d quit drugs, which I did, technically.. just not the legal ‘research chemicals’..)

After the 8th day, I finally woke up feeling fine. Infact, strangely, I felt amazing, brilliant. I woke up feeling really refreshed, raring to go, a whole new outlook on life, I had a sudden brand new motivation, ambition, positive mood etc – with one fallback, after standing up and walking, I realized I couldn’t feel my right foot. It’s been a week now, and still, my right foot is paralyzed, so I’m assuming the damage is permanent, I’m guessing it’s nerve damage, either due to the toxins in the chemicals its self or perhaps from the twitching but I do get regular back and neck pain now too.

But from my right ankle downwards, everything is numb, paralyzed. I can’t feel or move/wiggle my toes, and I can’t lift my right foot up. I can stand on it OK, and albeit a slight limp I am walking OK so thankfully it isn’t that serious, but suddenly waking up with part of your body paralyzed with no feeling or motion is serious enough to give you a good slap in the face wake up call.

Don’t f*ck with this stuff, please. I got lucky, all I did was lose a foot and have to put up with a bit of back/neck pain. If you aren’t as lucky or have built up a strong tolerance to it like me, you could lose your life and feel nothing at all.. for eternity.

You should go to the docs Tom….. the paralysis could be due to other conditions… a stroke or diabetes for instance….. dont want to scare you… but just to be sure….. maybe the docs.

Note to Tom read the instructions properly next time.

But thankfully, I regained motor function in my foot a few months back!

Still don’t take anything anymore though, clean & sober for months now.
