Why is it that ‘chivalry’ is always to be displayed by men towards women? What make them so bloody special???
There’s nothing more satisfying that the resounding THWACK as you let a swing door go and it shuts in the face of the female following you …. when she arrogantly assumed that you would hold it open for her.
The problem with that tho is this PB
Scenario one, man walks through door, lets it shut in the face of woman walking behind him
Conclusions, he is an embittered woman hating child molesting woman beating perv who fancied his mummy, cant maintain relationships and is “equiped” like a horse……… a sea horse tho unfortunately and his only sex life is masturbation because nobody will date him
Scenario two, and “independant” woman lets the door shut in the oppressive mysoginist oggling her from behind as she walks through it hitting him in his learing surveying arrogant face
Conclusions, she is an independant woman who demands equality and who doesnt need to feel indebted to or inferior to “mere men” and refuses to be oppressed any futher by malekind and made to feel she ought to hold the door open for a mere neanderthol woman battering rapist (courtesy of the feminist DICKtionary definition of “Male” and when the door hit him she scored a point for the “sisterhood” as payback for the eons that women had been treated like slaves or second class citizens or baby making machines by apeish unevolved men, her only sex life is masturbation because she is an “empowered woman” who is in total control of her life and has realised that a vibrator doesnt have any of the “drawbacks” lowly man has

Back in the real world tho,
the man was just as likely to have been totally unaware of the woman as he was in deep thought trying to remember what he had actually come here to buy, and even if he HAD been vaguely aware of a “person” walking behind him would have thought it inefficient to stop and wait for them, or could have been in a hurry or could simply have assumed they would be EQUALLY as capable of opening the door as he was
the woman? Well some people will buy into just about anything really lol, and woman of that ilk which arent nearly as much of a rareity as they should be have such an amassed collection of issues and tainted perspectives they are a psychologists wet dream
Back to seriousness tho PB, thats actually the point, “chivalry” is a concept founded on the assumption that women are weak, frail and are in some way to be revered, protected, helped and coddled as a result of their fragile feebleness
Fussed around as tho they are a combination of an arrogant expectational princess and a naive child lacking in common sense and ability therefore NEEDED big strong chivalrous men to help the poor dears through an average day
Now admittedly there ARE some women like that, but hopefully they are a dying breed or will soon die off because nobody with any self respect will breed with them thus perpetuating their patheticness lol
MEN specifically doing things for WOMEN like opening doors and pulling out chairs without the same thing being done in return by women is a glimpse of days gone by (good riddence) where the other side of that coin was the women knew their “place” and were “womanly” in the sense that sex happened when the man wanted it, the woman did all the cooking, child rearing, house work and similar “lady chores”, where the man had the final say and the woman followed his leadership pretty much unquestioningly
That was the exchange, frail dull subservience for princess treatment and chivalry amongst other things, the moment women realised it was a crap deal and started to act more like actual people they also broke the deal and with it chivalry should have died off too and been replaced with an EQUAL and MUTUAL level of common decency in BOTH directions

On a serious note I think manners are a two way thing. Chilvary is just an old snobby word.
The people I meet who are the worset are barristors and most judges , disgusting manners!
Why only barristers & judges …. what about solicitors???? Aren’t they bad mannered also (acording to you that is).

No, they are mostly polite. Its when they become barristors and judges that they are allowed to forget their manners.
Same as deputy district judges, their fine to, till they are promoted.

Chivalry is not restricted to men being chivalrous to women, but is a general way of behaving. For example, an officer in the Napoleonic wars would behaved in a chivalrous manner to an officer from the opposing side, and say… given him his sword back so that they could have a fair fight. It is about abiding by courteous rules of conduct, etiquette if you will, and does not just mean holding doors open for the opposite sex.
It would include, defending children and the elderly if necessary. Being honorable, and noble. A generally decent chap! And yes, I think chivalry was a male domain. Women had to be content with behaving in ladylike and gentile ways.
No farting at table for either sex then!
Nah … this chivalry stuff is totally outdated and overrated. I mean what’s all this rubbish about giving up your seat on a bus for a pregnant woman ffs???
Firstly bus seats are damned expensive and there are never enough of them to go round anyway. First come first served …. THAT’S the rule.
Secondly, if she’s strong enough (or careless enough) to get pregnant in the first place, then she can bloody well stand along with the rest of us.
It’s a load of rubbish and mollycoddling pregnant women like this does them no favours at all. In fact if anything, it prevents them from standing on their own two feet.

The majority of my working day fits around theirs and I am happy that they are well adjusted and know the value of their pocket money. Thye also know the meaning of the word manners and are more than happy to help a pensioner across the bypass or carry somebodys shopping if they need the help.. :wink:
You on the other hand appear to be a true follower of single parents having the right to sit on their ar5es, drinking coffee and smoking tabs, whilst their children ( little angels that they are ) run riot terrorising the neighbours and vandalising ‘cos they’re bored’ and mummy has no spare money ( after she’s bought her weekly burberry outfit) and her supply of fags and booze.. not all single parents are bad parents.. nor are all muslims terrorists.. Yet again you have displayed your true ignorance of society and it’s needs .. YOU would be the first to jump on the bandwagon if it was decided that more of your taxes were going to be increased to help the poor single parent family. They got bent over and done big time up the mars bar dispenser by feminists wearing 18 inch strap ons too who painted the picture that anyone who didnt have a career (not JUST a job), kids (but without an oppressive rapist (man) on the scene AND still managed to have a hectic social life as they had before having a career AND kids was in someway substandard and was letting the sisterhood down
They just forgot to explain to women how three things that all need about 14 hours a day to be accomplished adequately can all be done in only 16 hours (+ sleep)
As for the work thing they cant win, if they dont work theyre called scroungers, if they do theyre cruddy parents who have kids to be fashion accessories and its often the exact same people criticising them for doing either of those things depending on what their daily papers are telling them is the cause of all the countries woes for THAT week
Infact single parents not working is far more likely to create non working kids when they grow up, and single parents who work TOO much are far more likely to create out of control yobs as a result
As with all things its not about one extreme or the other, its about balance
