At the end of an English lesson, the teacher sets the class their homework,
“Tomorrow we’re going to look at the word: ‘contagious’. I want you all to be able to use this word in a sentence by tomorrow.”

The next day comes and the children are demonstrating their new found knowledge.

“…Very good James. Sam, can you use ‘contagious’ in a sentence?”
‘Yes. My mother said I wasn’t allowed to go near my sister because she has chicken pox and it’s contagious.’
“Well done Sam. Seamus, it’s your turn.”
‘Right so, Miss. Me ‘n’ me father were on our way to school today ‘n’ we saw this fella paintin’ ‘is ‘ouse wi’ this tiny little brush. So me father says to me, ‘Ah that’ll take the contagious.”
