All i would change in the song is the fact that it’s better to invest time with friends than spend time. And when i say that, what i’m referring to has no connections to money in any sense.

Yes Nelly..perfect… so loved the parrot.Funny that song, you are my sunshine.. started with my own when younger and down, feeling low. Loved to sing with my dad always even thru older years up to a few days before my dad’s own demise. Never seeing my dad ever cry until mum became ill and he too at the same time, 3 of them sang it, as I observed at a distance, not to totally lose it all together sharing last days together. My dad perhaps little more blessed and way out lived his siblings, said he was tired and ready to go. Strong/long military career said he could no longer be the man he once was, needed eternal rest. But final request that we leave song as the family tradition when we were low, and that as we felt about his leaving, so would he his only last regret…..
