I agree with this 100%. Like Bat said if you have done nothing wrong then why not. If this is what the world is coming to then so be it.

i think its a great idea.,we can keep an eye on suspected traitors to our republic.,then torture them to death!, :D/ .,really,,i think the government should be allowed more control over our lives.,humans are naturally evil,,we need controlling,,a dna database would help the government keep tabs on us.,anybody who disagrees with a dna database should be slowly cooked alive over a burning fire!!!!

What do you think about it? Is it a necessary weapon in the fight against crime or an attack on your personal liberty?????.

It will only fight crime of those listed who commit offence. If one of them never commits a crime, no need holding it, its a case of presuming guilty whilst innocent, dictatorship police state.

Sadly, like poster Bat, theres too many people not clever enough to stop the old gang party doing this and controlling us big time one day? Might not seem like much now, but it grows steadily, and gets more and more to a tipping point whereby the populous cant fight back.

If you have nothing to hide, then no one need know your personal data.

When children are born the hospital take countless blood samples, now I’m not stupid or blinkered enough to believe these are destroyed. I would think every child within in the last ten odd years is on this database.
I wouldn’t even be surprised if anyone who goes into hospital or gives blood isn’t on there to. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU!!!!!!!

I got accused of a crime I did not commit because of DNA. I had to proove my innocence when I had no idea how my DNA ended up at the scene of the crime.

Thats a very hard thing to do.

The police have my DNA from a minor offence nearly 10 years ago (actually, I think its longer than that now).

Its very easy to sit and say “If you havent done anything you’ve nothing to be scared of”, but there is another side to this.

I had to endure 4/5 days of worry over this not to mention the embarrasement at work and with my family (who knew I was innocent, but thats not the point).

Nonces are the only people who should have their DNA kept.

99% of “Nonces” are family members or close family friends. Are you suggesting all your family and friends should be tested Sharro?

Where did I say “tested”? I dont really understand what you mean by your post…..

My point is there is no need for Police to keep all DNA on file, especially for minor offences/cautions.

If there is a nonce/sex offender my point was their DNA SHOULD be kept on a data base, rather than white-collared criminals and minor offenders where the risk of re-offended is considerably low.

Because of a years old minor offence I have to watch where I go and what I do, my DNA is on file and if I again accidently leave it at the scene of a crime I can again be called in and questioned and asked to proove my innocence. Next time it could be a serious crime and DNA is hard to defend against.

So you mean you have to just live your life normally then??
unless you make ahabit of going to dodgy places?

i really dont think that ebcause the police have your dna it means that you have to watch where you go and what you do, infact i doubt that you even think about it when out shopping.

the polic have my fingerprints! from an arrest a few years back actually more than a few! charges where dropped and its not on my record but!! just because they have my fingerprints i dont worry about going to places! or worry about what i touch!
